alarm problem

:( please somebody help before i take a hammer to this truck its a 2008 2.5 diesel pathy the problem is the alarm keeps going off in the middle of the night is this a common fault and is there a fix for it :roll: :?:

Be aware that a bad guy will cause the alarm to go off in hopes that you get so aggravated that you turn the alarm off, and then he breaks in.

Others may provide a reasonable malfunction.

Do all of your door/light sensors work? In other words, when you open each door, do they all activate the interior light (rear hatch and window included)?

I believe the alarm sensors are integrated with the open-door sensors, which are relatively easy to test and replace.

PS - very jealous that you have a diesel!

thanks dan i ll check the doors and hatch i know theres nobody tryin to steal it sounds like a faulty switch will let you know how i get on thanks

:( checked all door switches all working fine any other ideas what could be causing this :cry:

both keyfobs working fine mate new batteries i turned of the interior proximity sensor for the alarm last night and had no problem just wondering if it stays off or does it rearm when you open an lock the car again so will i have to disarm it everytime i lock the car :?:

A few people have reported this issue being caused by a faulty BCM (Body Control Module). Check out that link.

:) thanks dan that sounds like the problem as it only does it now and again pity its always in the middle of the night :roll: sounds like this could be an expensive problem thanks to everyone for all the help much appreciated
