If you Purchace the auto headlight option, will it enable autoheadlights?

I just ordered the fog light kit. Do you, or anyone, know what kind of bulb is used in the fog light? I am looking at PIAA at the Yellow Ion bulbs. They work really well with fog.

The bulb number for the fog lights is H11.

You need to have the sensor that is on top of the dash. I believe it is in the center of the dash near the windshield if I am not mistaken. That is where the auto headlight sensor is on my brother's '08 Altima 3.5. Anyone out there with an SE or LE Path that has the auto headlight option?

I went ahead and purchased the Fog light kit from Courtesy Nissan. I received the package today to find out that Nissan , not Courtesy, boxed a right fog light in a left fog light box making my kit complete with 2 right side fog lights. I called Courtesy and they UPS'd a left one out this afternoon for free......should see it by Fri.

Yep, that's pretty much where it is located.

the S model doesnt have the sensor, so why the option for it on the turn stalk switch, when you order the parts? I believe that the other models SE and LE have auto headlights.

Just ordered my kit from mynissanparts.com I should have it some time next week. I also ordered running boards and the side molding kit as well for my majestic blue 08 S model. Hoping the install goes as easy as you say here.

The install of the fog lights was really easy. When i go to install the left fog light I will take some pics and post them on how to install the fog. Hopefully it will help.

I plan on doing the fog light install very soon. The price from enissanparts looks like the cheapest I've seen so far. The lighting just sucks.

My fog light kit arrived today. Along with running boards and side molding. I popped the running boards on, took me 30mins, easy job. Hoping to do the foglights tomorrow after work.I work retail so I usually work Sundays. If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'll put them on soon as I get home. I'll take pictures when I'm all done.

Edit: Installed the fog lights today. Removing the push in clips holding the the plastic inserts in was a pain in the ass. The screws that came with the foglight housing don't work because there's nothing for them to thread into. I had some extra trim clips lying around my tool box, but I'm gonna to to my local dealer and get some U clips so there's something to put the new screws into. The headlight switch was an easy swap.

I'll have some pictures soon

I had to do the same thing, but I kept the plastic push pins so I can put them back on to the fog lights, because I only had one screw for each light. So i also inserted the plastic push pin back into on of the holes that were empty on each fog light.

With all you guys talking about putting in the fog lights, I just ordered a set myself. Thanks for all the info.
