Heh Brit - Funny you should mention the LR3... we considered that one as well, and discarded it as a final selection for the same reasons. Price (though not too bad) and reliability. We had a friend with two Discos and one was perpetually in the shop at all times. I bet he spent half their total value in repairs.

Ditto on the the 285s and OME. Ours will be receiving that treatment this spring... Will be using a 17" 2008 Brushed LE wheel set with the 285/70-17s.

I just ordered the Yak Load Warrior, Extension and Net for $424.80 delivered from RackAttack.com. Free UPS Ground shipping rocks, and since my local Nissan dealers are scam artists and Courtesy Nissan charges shipping this was the cheapest route.

No use for it at all. Maybe in the future, when I have kids. But, I got a while. :P

BTW turned out RackAttack was actually out of stock, lamers. So I went with Courtesy, wasn't hugely more expensive. Works perfectly, with the cargo net you can really pack the thing with all sorts of stuff up there. Down side of course is a 1-2MPG hit, ouch!!!

I use my rack with this Image right now its 39"x43". with the extention its 39"x64" for every day use. right now I do not have the extention in but soon. I think its a little to short because the PF rack is a lot longer than most suv's

Thanks for the mention, Blink32. I manage the Golden, CO Rack Attack.

Regarding roof baskets in general, the Yak LW is one of the best. I thought about putting one on my own PF. It's a little too light-duty for off roading (FYI Yakima doesn't warranty any product used for OHV purposes). The load capacity is OK for most. If you're serious about load capacity (especially under off road conditions) there is a better setup out there. It's being sent to my shop and will be installed in the next 7 to 10 days.

Check out this link:

This should be a sweet setup. I ordered the basket (44' x 60" Sport Series) and a wind deflector today. It should arrive at my shop mid to late next week. I'll make a new post and write a complete review with installation pictures etc... I've already removed the factory side rails in preparation for the new setup. Poor naked Pathfinder.
