Clang! Clang! Clang!

Postby Kestral » Sun May 03, 2015 7:09 am

Ok so I have this noise issue with my 2012 Pathfinder. When I hit a bump I get this Clang! Sort of like someone with a tin can with a few quarters inside that shake around sound. Yesterday I got under the truck with a rubber mallet and banged on a few things but it all seems tight? Anyone have any ideas?

In what area do the clangs sound like they are coming from? Front? Rear? Left right?

Sounds like drivers side rear to me that's with the windows down I hear it on drivers side rear although I should prob have someone drive so I can sit in the pass side with the window down to better pinpoint it. I'm going back under her today to have another look so I will let you know what I find. I figure with bad winter we had here in Western MA this year who knows maybe it's some leftover Ice build up that still has not melted! .. Lol

Did you check the exhaust heat shields? I had a similar problem and noticed the stock clamps rusted off.
