finally got and installed the airlift 100

Postby Goliat6288 » Fri Aug 21, 2015 6:37 pm

Hello everyone. I frequent the forum a lot but have written very little. Since ive joined the forum i have always wanted an airlift1000. I finally bought it last friday. I received it tuesday. And installed it today. It took me about three hours, ran into a problem which was my fault. Pretty simple install and i have on question, ive checked some thread on others installing it and i xant seem to find or see if they have installed the rubber insolator. Has anyone installed it? If not, why not?

The problem i ran into was that i forgot to put the clips on the valve stem of the bags. I noticed this after they were installed and the lines were ran and ziptied. I had to undo everything to put the clips on. Then reinstall the bags again. I ran the line inside and under the mat in the trunk. I will put a picture of that later.

Looks good!
I installed the insulators on mine. I figure Airlift puts them in the kit for a reason so why leave them off. I assume they are mainly there to protect that valve on the top of the bag? I am not sure though.

Yeah thats what the instructions said. Thats the same reason i put them on also.

Has anyone installed the bags with the valve facing down?

If the valve stem is facing down then your air lines are going to extend below the control arm and will likely get ripped off.
