What pads/rotors did you go with?
I'm at 47K miles and figure it is about time. My back roads driving and boat towing have really done a number on my rotors. The pads still have some life left, but will be changed too while I'm in there.
Anyone do a brake job yet?

My pathfinder has 37,000 & the pads are still at 50% even after towing my boat all summer.
When I do change out the pads I'm going to use Brembo or Stillen rotors & Akebono ceramic pads.
We have done that conversion on other suv's & it seems to work grear - better stopping power & minimal brake dust.

I'm at 42k and the pads look good. I took the rotors off and had them turned at a friends shop. I was getting a slight vibration in the steering wheel.
He said they were a little off and after I put them back on it's perfect no more vibration.
You might just want to get them turned they have a lot of meat on them and if they aren't warped bad they will be like new again. Find a shop though, the Stealer wanted 120.00 to turn them. I paid 8$ a rotor, any place with a brake lathe will usually do it for a lot less.

I've had cryo treated rotors on my Tahoe. It's a waste of money IMHO. Just get some slotted rotors (not drilled) and some good pads. Fronts will be EBC rotors with EBC 6000 greens. Rear pads are Akebono.

Are you going with the slotted or slotted & dimpled rotors? And any reason you're not going with the 7k series instead of the regular 6's or even the yellow stuff for Truck/SUV's? Definitely post your results.
I'm currently running the dimpled/slotted with 2000 series Greenstuff on my Sentra and the braking was markedly better than with a stock-style replacement. I don't like the whirring sound the rotors make but for the performance it's worth it. I'm also looking at the yellow's for when I need to replace my pathy's setup.

I am going with the normal EBC rotors. No need for slotted on the truck. i went with regualr 6's becasue I wanted to upgreade, but not go overbaord. my wife and I brake in the truck like we brake in our cars.
