The service manual doesn't give any info on scheduled brake fluid changes but normally DOT 3 brake fluids have a service life of about 1 - 2 years, maybe a bit longer in dry climates. Have any PF owners here had the brake fluid changed or upgraded to a DOT 5.1 or other higher quality ABS compatible fluid. Thanks.

Interestingly the stated service life of one of the better quality brake fluids available, Castrol SRF is 18 months and shelf life is only 2 years;
