Postby Joshpath » Fri Mar 18, 2016 6:13 pm

I
Need some info.

While i was tightening my upper intake manifold.
I busted 3 torque studs they were old to begin with.

Good luck with the E3's. Personally, I wouldn't use anything but the original type NGK spark plugs in a Nissan. I've pulled out too many non-OEM plugs during my years working for Nissan, everything from Splitfires to Bosch platinums, because the caused misfires and driveability concerns. NGK is the largest spark plug manufacturer in the world...and probably the best. Also, you don't need to remove the upper plenum to replace the spark plugs. It's tight, but if you have a good assortment of tools and a little patience, it can be done. It usually takes me about 40 minutes to replace a set. I'm guessing next time should be even easier now that I installed the intake plenum spacer!

I'm with SMJ with this one I once replaced my plugs in my Nissan Maxima (I think it was a 1995) with Bosh Platinum plugs and what a mistake it ran like junk! I replaced the plugs with new NGK's and it ran fantastic again.

I'll buy the dlb plats from NGK and keep them on the side just in case. Afterall it is the better brand.
