Lowering springs?

Postby pearl62 » Mon Jan 12, 2009 3:31 pm

Is the H&R kit the only solution? I'm not looking for a huge drop, just 1 - 1.5" and ~15% stiffer spring rate.

New springs

Postby pearl62 » Mon Feb 09, 2009 10:25 pm

I just got the King Springs installed today, along with Rancho 9000XL shocks all around. It rides really nice now, much firmer. These are supposed to be lowering springs but right now the truck looks pretty the same as before. Maybe they take a little time to break in...

Hum...maybe by Australian standards, their lowering springs are your US-spec normal height springs!

Good thing you do like the ride quality, suspension will probably settle a little more during the next few weeks. Congratulations on your purchase!

cheers

Yeah, it really handles nice now... With some better tires, it'll be a sports car! (not really haha!!)

There's really not much to see... it looks like a stock PF!

A couple of weeks later, and the rears have settled a little, but it really looks too high. It looks like I'll need to cut a coil up front at least...

The ride is firmer though...
