Center Console TSB

My center console latch broke the other day, so I went over the parts dept. at my local Nissan dealer to find out about getting another one... The latch was $15. However, they could only sell me the whole lid assembly at $145.... Apparently the latch is on Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)....which m...

Re: Consumer Reports

I have no faith in any of their vehicle testing, but some of their small product stuff is pretty good. But only when they test every bit of the competition, which they never do. Anyway, they had the following "Lows" rating for the current PF: "Stiff ride, second- and third-row seats,...

I was coming out of the mountains the other day, got on the freeway, and couldn't get over 60 mph...Pulled over, switched 4x4 on, then off, then reversed about 15 feet and heard it disengage, more of a loud click than clunk. After that, no probs. I will reverse now after disengaging like I had to do...

Bolted and Welded. (Shrockworks)

Super strong...Definitely a lifesaver since my Pathy isn't lifted that high. Will support high lift no problem.

Actually, what I meant was, if we had a group buy, would each of us be entitled to individual options, or would the buy cover only one type??? That would have to be worked out... I have the shrock skids and sliders now...I like 'em alot, but they required some extra modification to get mounted -- no...

Shrockworks....definitely cleaner...how would it work with options, etc? I am partial to the clean, no light hoops look, but would like a winch...

BTW...Where'd the wheels on the Frontier in the Shrockworks photos come from...They look like custom painted Nismos???

I use it regularly, my skiis are up there now. I have a Thule Ascent 1100 Pod up there, fits the factory crossbars really well, better than what I had on my early 90's Pathy.

Good video....take a bone stock 4 Runner out there and see what happens...looks to me like the other vehicles were more "favorably" equipped for off road. Maybe they should have tried with a different driver??? I've taken my Pathfinder in the dunes at Pismo beach many times, it does really...

I have Nitto Terra Grapplers...265/70/17s They are really good for the price, but not a durable as the BFGs... Where I go in the Sierras, the bedrock frags on the trail can be sharp, my Nittos got cut up on the last trip...no leaks though. Also, they seem to be a bit more slippery on icy/snowy roads...

Yes, avoid Quicklift at all costs - ie, you will pay later by upgrading. Soon to get my OME kit, went with the medium springs up front. Let us know how it works with the bumper, I was considering getting the HD springs for a planned bull bar in the future. Rocky Road told me that HD was the way to g...

Front Receiver Mount

Anybody have any experience with a front hitch receiver mount for the R51? I found one from Curt MFG., says it fits 05 to 07 Frontiers. Since the R51 is the same frame (should be), I am wondering if this would work. I am considering this as a removable winch mount since I can't find a suitable winch...

I just checked out the braille auto link...wow! If I am seeing that right, you could to a dual setup in the space of a standard battery, and it would still be only 22#? That's pretty cool. It says small displacement motors, I don't think 4.0l is small, but if you go off the cranking amps...should wo...

Sounds like something to research more. I've always looked over AGMs, but it seems they would be better for off roading if not weight alone.

I've always been partial to Optimas because of their size and mounting flexibility, which is why I never looked at AGMs

There's a place near me called StickerCity, they put the clear film on my entire front end, hood, and rear bumper, since they are all paint. The stuff is a lifesaver, and has a lifetime guarantee against yellowing, cracking, or peeling......Now if I could just do the windshield...
