Awesome write up! Hopefully people will be smart enough to search and find this fix ;)

On the smart Nissan engineers: I found out recently that the parking brake pedal has an adjuster for tension as well. Is nice coming from a Ford where adjustments have to be made at teh brake :/

I like it! Here I go... I have a 2007 SE model. The interior is very nice. I love the modular way the seats fold down and have loaded some impressive things in the back and on the roofrails. I appreciate the ABS and traction control mechanics. They've gotten me thru some pretty gnarly wintery situat...

I've been considering the Spyders too. On CarID they've got 4.5 stars for the more expensive model.

My issue is more about piss-poor lighting than damage though. I've also been considering a light bar that is properly mounted and aimed. I just want to SEE!

Think bumpsteer is relatively common for those with slightly bigger tires.

Most of the recommendations I've seen involved a good alignment but I think its just the nature of the beast.

Good job! I dont know that I've heard of using high temp copper gasket maker for a rough flange meeting. I'll have to pass that advice along (friend with a new mustang with headers is going through the same process). Hope your holidays went well, and thanks again for these posts. They really do a nu...

Nice! Love the RTT!

If you ever felt the drive to write up a little review/info post on it sometime I'd love that as well!

Ya, I think thats what I needed to hear. I sorta settled for the pathy I have now...but I'm going to keep my eye out for an LE loaded v8. I honestly dont think it gets much better than that (and I really dont want to spend money making the 4.0 sound like a v8...knowing full well it never will)

Opinions on worth of trading for v8

So, I try to keep an ear to the ground for a v8 pathfinder to come for sale in my area. I've currently got an 07 v6 SE with a little over 80k miles on it. Its got the timing tensioner whine but is otherwise in great shape. Its got leather seats with heated seats (that mostly work...mostly). Anywho, ...

Been working on Fords and Chevys for too long: How do the Nissan manifold bolts/studs come out? Easy or in pieces? I get a nervous tick every time I think about a chevy manifold and the momentous drilling that comes WHEN they break.

I know you had to get a move on before the lift became inaccessible but damn! You're flying!

Cant wait to hear this thing, I've been flirting with this since I bought the Pathy

Thats a good point Touchdown. I used to use 4wd as a on-the-spot solution and would get myself into trouble. Now I turn it on as long as I'm sure there's nothing too dry beneath me and I think I might need it. At least that way you know when you're gonna get stuck and can adjust that skinny pedal mo...

I really appreciate this thread! You're approaching the Path the same way I'm thinking about mine. Duty and utility first, and then maybe a little fun. Quesiton though: My little 4.0 has the timing chain whine and I'm only sitting at 89k miles. I'm comfortable doing the work but I'd rather only work...

Had a similar problem in a slick/muddy hill climb with the pathfinder. Its 4LO. If you're slipping and you dont want to spin its gotta be 4HI and a little speed (like higher than 5mph) Like SMJ said, its an ABS based limited slip system. If you're not going fast enough to afford a little slowdown (A...

I think the general consensus is that the kits dont do enough focusing and you just waste you money. I've done a little research on teh topic, and people on teh forum have done some work, but most people go aftermarket for the whole housing. A decent set is a couple hundred dollars and have a much m...
