Topic: better explanation of "feels funny" - tranny issue

I think I'm experiencing similar symptoms, but at different times. What happens to me occurs between 4th gear and overdrive when the tranny seems to slip, almost feels like it downshifts to 3rd before finally shifting into 5th gear (OD). I've tried everything, tranny flush, new tranny cooler, bypass...

I would also be concerned about how the E-locker would work with the electronic limited slip of the Pathfinder, even if it could be integrated somehow. I would assume it would work as designed. Frontiers and xterra's with the factory rear locker still have the ABLS function. Most likely it just wou...

question is...can the Xterra's e-locker internals be retrofitted on an R51 Pathfinder...mechanicals and electricals....considering they are pretty much the same car albeit different rear suspension layout and body?... The problem is, the xterra has a solid rear axle, where as the pathfinder has IRS...

Thanks! The spacer idea seems like the route I should take. I'm thinking the 1.5" spacers should level the front end. Thoughts? Ideas? You're probably better off doing the the full PRG mini kit. My pathfinder seems to sit fairly level as it is, and I think a 1.5" front only kit would make...

Re: heated seat - aftermarket replacement?

Just curious if anyone had done any research regarding this? Judging from the electrical diagram its getting a simple 12v from the switch and grounds itself. The only part that has any complications is the thermostat (that presumedly switches the seat from high to low once a certain temp is attaine...

Bump.. Offroad Pathfinders didn't come stock with E-lockers, only the xterra/frontier/titans (pro4x, offroad, nismo) equivalents. Now that being said, ARB makes a wonderful airlocking diff that would honestly be cheaper and more durable than the factory nissan equivalent. Also, it would allow for u...

What issue are you having? The issue I'm having on my Pathfinder is that it won't shift out of first gear it takes too long to move. this will be the second time I will fix the transmission last time I fixed was about 3 years ago but the mechanic did not change the valve body. other problems I've h...

Damn, you guys are lucky. I average maybe 14 city 18 highway on a good day. I guess these heavy Nissan's aren't built for the city  Interesting you say that with an Off-Road model. With the noted difference in speedometer accuracy between the OR versus the other models, you would think the ac...

The under seat secret storage is perfect for jumper cables, or whatever other illegal substance you are smuggling over the border, lol  Personally I like the million freaking ways by which you can fold down/flat/forward/backward the second row. Really comes in handy when carrying stuff. Also, ...

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but did you ever figure out what was causing this? I have the same issue, however I'm quite positive that it's not contamination because I have bypassed the internal rad cooler. Mine "slips" when trying to shift from 4th to 5th. Sounds and feels almost like...
