I have a 2011 as well. Has been pretty trouble free to be to be honest. With what SMJ said, I agree with regarding the Toyota trucks. The seat in my Tacoma, when I had it, was pretty low. It was a base PreRunner, so I'm sure the higher end models had more adjustability to the seats than mine did. B...

Looking to get a new Pathfinder/ maybe 4 Runner

So I really like my 06 Pathfinder. It's only got around 140k miles on it. I just really want something newer and maybe more reliable. I've taken my bumps and bruises on this thing. I had a lot replaced over the years. I'm trying to decide if a 2011 Pathy is pretty solid or do I need to go to the 201...

I'm going to inspect the exhaust, but I'll need to read up on how to check for a vacuum leak.

Good info. my plugs are about 3 years old maybe 20k miles on them. How would you know if you need to replace the coils packs? I don't think it misfires or anything. I'm wondering of I have a crack in the manifold. I plan to check that out this weekend. I plan to drive this for another few years, may...

2006 Pathy P0430 P0420 codes

I've recently developed these codes. The P0430 comes on often, but the P0420 doesn't come on near as much. I developed the rough idle and it drives me nuts. I'm told a motor mount is wearing but not worn out yet and that could be the issue of the rough idle. Around the same time My trucks started to...

Oh man!! I just paid 65$ and replaced the entire thing. The smaller hose had a crack in it. I suspected it was causing my rough idle. It's fixed, but I still have the rough idle after driving it for two days. I'm going disconnect the neg terminal and clean my MAF See if this helps. Then I'll try the...

So I've been using Mobil 1 5w30 full synthetic since 45k miles. This knock started a few months ago and just doesn't fully go away. My oil pressure looks fine according to the gauge. I've got the oil right in the middle between high and low on the dip stick. I changed the plugs a year ago. I just ha...

Yet another issue engine knocking

So on days when it's cold, below 60 I'd say. My engine knocks (not the I used 89 octane knock). Sounds like lifters or something. It's not the same as the cold morning knocking sound. This sound sticks around unless I'm cruising at lower RPMs. I've tried Seafoam through the brake booster line. I've ...

I'm not a mechanic, but eventually it will make clicking sounds, and then you're done. I suspect I drove mine for 2-3 years with the whining. When it goes apparently so does your engine.

I had mine done at Crown Acura, because my brother works there. Other than them. Eurotune on Midlothian gave me a great estimate of 1800$ including the water pump. Not a bad price. I'd call them.

Another update, with the new chain, and the fan clutch my engine is super quiet and for the first time I can hear my engine. So now I can hear what seems to be the timing chain, but a very faint sound. Now I can only hear this because I'm super anal about my car and the sounds it makes. Should I be ...
