That sounds like what it could possibly be. I'll evaluate at lunch in the back parking lot (still covered with lots of snow). It definitely sounds like something that would be "electronic grinding". It also usually last for about the same amount of time too.

I hear this sound when the VDC is on, and it's only in the front. I've tried it when the VCD is off, and I still hear it make that grinding sound.

Yes, donuts are fun! My wife doesn't like them, however!

Grinding sound in 4hi

We've been getting a ton of snow up here in Buffalo, NY. So needless to say, I've been driving pretty regularly in 4hi. The trucks been handling great! ...But when I first get moving, I'll get some minimal wheel spin and I'll hear a grinding sound coming from the front end. This doesn't sound right ...

Damb! I'm probably the shortest guy here coming in at 5'3". :D Lots of leg room for me! I have to stand on the tires to clean the top of my Pathfinder.

I currently don't use my hitch, so it's not from things going into the reciever. My rust is on the outside of the reciever (near some of the weld joints and such).

Cool! Call me an idiot, but I didn't realize you can reset the MPG gage. I guess I need to read my owners manual a little more thoroughly! I was wondering why it didn't change much on some of the longer road trips (I'm guessing it's been calculating on the 6000 miles the truck has overall, ba...

RacerZX, Wow! You're getting way better MPG than my truck. I'm yet to do actual calculations at the pump vs. the read on my odometer, but the computer is telling me that I'm roughly getting somewhere around 15.5mpg. I've had two oil changes so far (at the dealership), and I have yet to put in synthe...

Rust on hitch mount

I noticed over the weekend that I'm starting to show some rust on my hitch mount. It's a very small amount, and most people would probably think I'm crazy for even bringing this up, but I've seen how bad some hitch mounts can get on such young trucks. I've definitely taken notice of this in years pa...

I notice this was happening with my Path also. One of the big reasons we bought ours is because we live in Buffalo, NY (lots 'o' snow). Well, last winter I needed to put it in 4wd mode many times, and usually when I switched out, it would take a while for it to disengage. Some occurances would take ...

I wish I could claim this was my truck! I just wanted to see if I could post a picture correctly! Also, I wanted to share this image in case there was anybody out there who hasn't seen our vehicle in concept form. I have an 05' silver OR with lots of dog hair in it!

Titan/Armada wheels on Pathfinder

Does anyone know if the Nissan Titan or Armada wheels would fit on our Pathfinders? I've seen a number of these on E-Bay (in particularly the 18" six spoke), and they are relatively inexpensive.

I'm so psyched that Nissan is making this attachment for our cars. Those FM modulators (I'm hearing Marvin the Martians voice here) are crap! Now all I need is an I-Pod! I currenlty have an I-River player.

Yakima roof rack

After I first bought my Pathfinder a year ago, I was upset that I couldn't fit on my Yakima cross bars with attachments (steel head bike attachement in particular) due to the fact that Yakima didn't make the corresponding towers that would attach to the factory rack. Well, here we are a year later a...
