Thanks for the responses. Pathy, are those numbers the lower limit? I thought I saw on an older post (after making my initial post here) that 26mm was the standard thickness and 24.5 was the minimum limit. Smj, definitely had not gone metal to metal. mileage to replace front rotors?

I took my pathfinder to my local repair shop thinking it might be time for a brake job (front), but they are saying I also need to replace the rotors because they are below the minimum clearance to machine them. Thanks SMJ. That copy of the letter should be useful. I checked the radiator number and I have the 21460 ZL11A. Sounds like this is not the initial (most problematic) radiator, but also not the last updated version... so it seems less likely, but still possible that it fail. I will probably try call...

Just bought a 2010 pathfinder with low miles. I'm loving it so far, but I noticed this same noise and could not figure out the cause. It was driving me crazy until I found this thread. Thank you Clay350, Staynlean, and skinny2. You Sirs are gentlemen and scholars.
