camshaft sensor connector

I recently had to replace my camshaft sensor on my 06 pathfinder. I was frustrated when I had to disconnect the old sensor from the electrical connector. After about an hour of trying everything to get it loose, I searched the net for help. If you are experiencing the same difficulty, try going to t...

Took strut apart and found the problem

Thanks GoBlue90 for the link. It was the same problem that many Frontier owners were experiencing too. When I replaced the stock nissan shocks, the shock washer was incorporated inside the dust cover which I overlooked. I used the smaller washer that was supplied with the bilstein shock, and it caus...

broken front bilstein shock

A couple of months ago I replaced the two front shocks on my 2006 pathfinder. A week ago I noticed some thumping noise coming from my passenger side wheel whenever I would go over a bump. I took it to the dealer yesterday and they said that the shock was defective, and that it had pushed through the...

anyone put bilstein struts for their stock pathy?

I recently replaced my rear stock shocks on my 2006 pathfinder with 95,000 miles. I used a Bilstein brand shock replacement, and the ride now is much improved. I would like to replace the standard struts in the front with Bilsteins, but I am having a hard time finding an replacement. After researchi...

had a duhhh moment

I have an 2006 pathfinder that I bought used a couple of years ago. recently as I was going into my passenger side front storage compartment, I found out that I had a secondary compartment located between the airbag compartment and the lower compartment. Wow... I'm still finding out new things about...

water pump question

My 2006 Pathfinder has 95,000 miles on it, and it is still running strong on the original water pump. Has anybody replaced their failed waterpump, and if so how many miles did you have on it?

Nice to see I'm not alone in my dilemma. Shortly before the smell there was a weird Pheunamic hissing sound that would occasionally happen from underneath the dash when the heating/AC unit was on. I added more coolant to the reservoir and the sound has now stopped. Don't know if this is associated w...

radiator coolant smell?

I have a 2006 Pathfinder, that has about 85,000 miles on it. Recently I have been detecting an slight Radiator coolant smell in the engine compartment area, and occasionally in the driver side passenger area. When I park the vehicle, there is no obvious leaking or puddles on the ground that I can se...

Yes, they said it was leaking silicon. They described it at an doughnut shaped dampener that has silicon inside of it. Does anybody know if this it true or not? Last year I had the same dealership do the fuel sending unit repair at a discounted rate per Nissan customer service, and maybe they are sq...

motor mounts problems

I have an 2006 Pathfinder SE with about 80,000 miles on it. I frequently take it in to my nearby Nissan dealer for standard maintenance and oil changes. The service dept. has told me in the recent past that a couple of my motor mounts have been leaking, and that I should have them replaced to approx...
