Try soaking with some diesel.

I was taught to free seized engines with diesel without having to
strip the heads off. It’s an oil and penetrates.
Just keep soaking for about a week, worth a go.

all done

Well I had the mishap of getting a big nail in the front tyre last fri, so as had to get two new tyres anyhow thought best to do the brakes when swapping o the spare. Nice and easy job mainly, all bolts undid fairly well, and discs didnt need beating off. Problem encountered was one of the sliders w...

Just a quickie

Got a nice new set of discs and pads for the front.
Put my fingers on the discs the other day and there’s at least a 2mm lip
and they are in need of new pads so thought a job in one.

Just a quickie to ask if the callipers are a twist in or press in?

Finally got to proper data about A/C refrigerant pressure sensor. It's one like this: http://www.altstar.kiev.ua/images/Santech/MT1202.jpg what I did was connect 2kOhm and then 50kOhm resistor between 5V feed and return Signal wire to bypass the sensor. In one case A/C kicked in alone, and in other...

I’d have been proper upset if the engine had blown ! Fuel economy seems to have dropped a lot since the new Pipe, so have disconnected the battery to reset the ecu. Hopefully it will recalculate. Forgot the esp and traction control lights stay on for a while When you reconnect the battery! I was l...

Nightmare.....

Can only happen on a sat eve after all is shut.... Front pipe snapped off the downpipe. We hit a pothole and heard a clump, then the normal blowing exhaust sound. Up on the ramps, casing off and the pipe has defiantly broken. All came apart easily, but its sat evening, so nothing open until Monday. ...

Stripped all the plastic off the inner tailgate. Took the actuator off. The system is cables and levers which I cleaned off with silicone spray and put spray grease on after. The actuator seemed ‘gritty’ when the lock lever manually moved, I tried to open it up but no chance so I drilled a small...

Tailgate issue

Tail gate itself is working, buuuuuut..... When the vehicle is locked and you forget to unlock it and grab the tailgate handle to open the boot mine partially opens and sets the alarm off ! Ive shut the tailgate and locked it and pulled the handle and it feels like its catching sometimes. If i do it...

Its dead simple to take the seat out and pull apart. Leave the electrics attached until the 4 mounting bolts are out so the seat can be moved. Do the rears 1st, then move it all the way back, cos when you undo the front it can 'fall' backwards, then let it lean back and unplug the connectors. Once u...

Sun roof rattle

Woohooo i love a good rattle ! Not ! The sunroof has started to rattle when fully closed. I have checked all is tight and blasted some muck out using WD40 PTFE spray, which made for a smoother opening and closing but not stopped the rattle. Any others found a fix? Was going to get a thicker grease f...
