Re: 2000 Nissan Pathfinder No Crank No Start

For those following this, Pin 6 of the relay gets power only when the ignition key is turned to the start condition. Pin 7 will receive that voltage and send it to the starter solenoid "if" and "when" the relay solenoid is energized AND it pulls closed the switch between Pins 6 ...

2000 Nissan Pathfinder No Crank No Start

I did some testing. With the starter relay removed (Inhibitor relay) I checked all the pins in the starter relay socket. They all seem fine except for pin 6 and 7. I don't recall seeing voltage at pin 6 with the ignition switch on and in Park or Neutral. Not sure if pin 7 should have had voltage as ...

2000 Nissan Pathfinder No Crank No Start

The red, flashing light is usually a security system light. If it's in the cluster, it's a factory system. However, if you have a red LED set in the plastic of the dashboard, it is likely an aftermarket system. The factory security system, if activated, will cut the fuel pump but still allow the st...

2000 Nissan Pathfinder No Crank No Start

My daughters 2000 Nissan Pathfinder has a no crank no start condition. Part of the ignition switch was shorted out, so we replaced that part with a new one. That part was the white color short plastic cylindrical thing with 6 terminals on one side and a T shape intrusion on the other side of which t...

Use a test light to check for power at the blower motor harness connector (unplug it from motor, first) with the key "on" and the HVAC "on." If you have power, jump the two terminals in the harness connector with the test light and see if it lights up to confirm a good ground. I...

2000 Nissan Pathfinder a.c. blower motor not working

I checked the two 15 amp fuses shown in the fuse box identified by the two red outlines. Click on the link below. Then click on the picture of the fuse box to enlarge it. The fuses are still good. I used my multimeter to test it. Any suggestions? Thank you. http://s372.photobucket.com/user/PTCruiser...

Haven't worked on an R50, but most of my Nissans have had a panel under the hood, and a panel either in the glove compartment or under the dash on the driver side, or both. The owner's manual will be a big help, as it may help you find the right fuse before you go hunting for it. I'll check on this...

I just called the Dealership parts department. Gave them the vin number for the car. They said we don't have the automatic temperature control system, we have the manual control system. So, yes now I need to check where the fuses are inside the car. Does anyone know? Thank you.

Have not checked for voltage yet. I will though as soon as I get the chance. This is my daughters car. So, I have to wait for her to come to my house to check for the voltage. On the other hand, how can I tell if she has an automatic temperature control system or manual control system? Would the vin...

Usually when it's the resistor, it'll stop working on all but the highest speed setting. If it doesn't work on any setting, I'd be suspecting a blown fuse or a bad blower motor. Use a 12V test light to check for power and ground at the blower motor harness connector with the key "on," blo...

Blower Motor Not Working

I have a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. My blower motor does not work at any speed. Also does not work with heater on as well. I'm thinking it is the resistor. Does anyone concur with this? Thank you, Tommy.

Rack & Pinion High Pressure Port?

I purchased a rebuilt cardone rack & pinion part number 26-3005 shown below.. My 2000 Nissan Pathfinder has two banjo fitting tubes which are identical. I just want to make sure that I install the correct tube to the correct ports. Does anyone know which is the high pressure port on the rack sho...

Steering Problems

I would agree with you on that. We decided to replace the rack and pinion, however, we have to wait for the money to purchase the part. I will post my findings after the rack has been replaced. Thank you all for your outstanding support.

Steering Problems

If I have to replace the rack and pinion assembly, how big of a job is it? Someone told me that I have to remove the steering wheel and perhaps the steering column as well. Not to mention all the other stuff under the car. Thank you, Tommy.
