Re: P0430 on 2003 LE **and now P0306**

Infrared heat scan Both showed front higher...after driving and then holding 2k rpm's in the parking lot for 5 minutes. Smells like gas, and is struggling. O2 bank 2 S1 always looks suspect. I'm thinking it's feeding the computer a lean sitch at all times....I divert to master VSTAR if you have time...

Re: P0430 on 2003 LE thoughts?

Thing is idling pretty rough at times now...Also threw a P0306 cylinder 6 misfire with the P0430. So all this stuff is bank 2 related. Put hand over muffler and pressure blew my hand off, no obvious sign of exhaust leaks. Also checked the fuel pressure regulator for the hell of if and no gas in the ...

Re: P0430 on 2003 LE thoughts?

VStar the legend in the house. I will say that wasn't off cold start, it had been running for 10 minutes and was up to regular operating temp. Just as added info, but i defer to your knowledge. What would be an ideal scenario to do live data on the o2's? Like literally driving for a half hour and do...

P0430 on 2003 LE **and now P0306**

Greetings legends! So have the dreaded P0430 (bank 2 catalyst sucks ass alarm), we all know that one. Came with a misfire. Changed plugs and coils all went away. P0430 did end up coming back eventually. So ran some diagnostics and found the the 2 downstream o2 sensors were way less voltage wise and ...

Damn, you're the man. Thanks for the quick reply! Well I can't argue with you, you clearly know your stuff. After researching your analysis, it seems like a pretty spot on place to start. Was hoping it would be something a little easier though! I've done all suspension and bunch of other stuff, but ...

2003 LE Struggles at start

Hi all, just wanted to see if anyone has a quick first step maybe for this issue? Issue is that upon cold start, it fires great, then immediately dies. So basically...I have to give it gas upon starting, and after a couple seconds of giving it some gas i can let it idle and it's perfectly fine. It a...

Headlight PICS

Figured it out...I think https://ibb.co/HT50jv7 https://ibb.co/kmVYHxp https://ibb.co/qFKBnyM https://ibb.co/GnyzMHW https://ibb.co/h9tj84F Black inside and LED...cyrstal clear and bright vs yellow dim and ugly, and look way cooler. But I guess that doesn't really answer your question....Haven't had...

Oil Cooler

Rapey Firestone wanted about 750 with tax to replace mine....Me and my dad bought the rubber seal for it for like $10 and fixed it in an hour. But that was only after heavily researching that it probably would do it, and that it was a doable task. Oil doesn't even leak out when you take it off....we...

FYI for anybody who may have similar symptoms and could use a place to start with this same problem. It was inner tie rod on driver side. Unbolted outer tie rod and the inner one was a wet noodle, totally shot. Changed both sides, inner and outer (even though other side wasn't needed) and got an ali...

Hi Underworld, Thanks for the reply. It's a 2003 with 180k. I'm in the midst of replacing a lot of stuff. Bought new front sway links, struts and inner and outer tie rods. Think I'm going to replace all that as all the parts are old and need it whether it's the problem or not sooner or later. Then s...

Clunking front drivers side....thoughts?

Hi all, hope all is well. Figured i'd throw this out there to see if anyone has any opinions on it. Issue: Clunking over bumps on front drivers side. Started when i slammed my wheel into a pole backing out. Also steering left and right really quickly you can hear a clunk. Take wheel off and do that....
