Dyno data would be nice. For now, behold the breathtaking Y pipe.

dual inlet non- "performance" muffler for the V6- options?

As much as I like the looks of the Magnaflow muffler that many go for that addresses the sad factory Y-pipe replacing it with 2 separate pipes entering the muffler, I don't want it for the reason that my Pathfinder is my long haul family car and I don't want the sound that comes with performance muf...

Re: Towing Too Much - Transmission Fail

Towed slow for about 1.5 hours through mixed flat-ish terrain - but then we started to climb the Rockies. Changed elevation from 500m to 1000m in about 5 minutes and just a 10 minutes off the top going uphill at about 15mph (25kmh) - the transmision jumped out, all sorts of clanging and all lights ...

Re: Airbag light started flashing

Good to hear. For the benefit of others who also may encounter this, attached is the part we had swapped. Notice that it’s a big assembly behind the steering wheel airbag and it includes the stalks! It doesn’t come separate, you can get the lights/turn signals stalk and the other stalk separately bu...

Re: Rear A/C line - how long to fix?

Well I got mine fixed! The dealership only offered the rear line set replacement via the body off frame job which I was not interested in doing. An independent shop I trust also said that they don’t repair lines and recommended an AC specialist. I gave them a phone call this morning and they had an ...

If not legal for the US and North America, we would need to know if the cut line on the projector is flat or if it has an uptick to one side. Most cars here are flat, where in Europe they may have an uptick. Depending on whether it’s a Drive on the right side of the road or left side (UK) the upti...

Would this be Nissan part number 999T8-XR000 (or updated part number 999T8-XR010)?

Nice install and write-up!

Plastidipped my front bumper lip and fog openings

I really like how Doctahjones did this on his former Pathfinder so I just had to do it as well but for mine I decided not to do the “skid plate†looking for a more subtle change first. I can always do the skid plate later but I’m going with this for now. Plastidip isn’t paint and I learned th...

Even my 01 R50 felt quicker with 305k km / 190k miles! But my 11's performance isn't up to par either at 150k km/ 93k miles . It runs and drives nice but lacks some grunt. I have no check engine light but have a P0328 code stored for a knock sensor on one side. Cleared codes and it's still there so ...

18” LE wheels painted with Dupli-Color Gloss Black

So just like most people, my wheels had suffered from several winters, the salt, and the subsequent corrosion and then peeling of the clearcoat that most people get. I had just finished tidying up my calipers and rotors so this was next. I had considered plasti dipping them but have seen too many ex...

Brake Calipers and Rotors Painted with VHT Caliper Paint

I have factory 18” wheels and my rear rotors despite being a year old were rusty and stuck out to me through the spokes so I decided to clean them up and paint them. Fronts looked okay but I did all 4 with VHT Caliper Paint in Satin Black. https://i.ibb.co/1rHYLH2/FC653986-6595-4-ABD-974-F-431073486...

Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze Fine Cut Cleaner on headlights

I use Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze Fine Cut Cleaner to buff out scuffs and light scratches and gave it a whirl on my mildly fogged over headlights. Spent about 5 minutes buffing each headlight with this cleaner on a microfibre cloth and it turned out great! I was thinking about getting a headlight cleanin...
