Driving home a couple weeks ago my Pathfinder's engine temp shot up so I pulled over and turned it off. Turned the key back on and checked codes through my bluetooth OBD reader. The engine temp was suddenly fine, but I had P0335 (Crankshaft position sensor) and a couple more related to the immobiliz...
2001.5 here, ~165k mi. I have a clunking sound from my front passenger sire when going over bumps, and at highway speeds if the road isn't very smooth, I can get quite a bit of hard vibration. I have replaced the sway bar bushings, as well as the sway bar link arm on that side, and the problem went ...
After doing a head gasket replacement, I cannot get my exhaust manifold gaskets to seal properly, causing P0134 and p0154 oxygen sensor codes. I have replaced the driver's side gasket FOUR times, and it sounds good at first, but after the engine warms up, I can hear a gas leak. I've used Fel-Pro per...
When I replaced my head gaskets (which involved removing the timing chain) I did NOT have to remove the oil pan. I did however have some trouble removing the cover. I think there were a couple long bolts that came from underneath that had to be removed that were not mentioned in the FSM. Even after ...
Could be the fuel filter, which is really cheap and easy to fix, so you could start with that. But it could also be the fuel pump, or something else that I don't know about.
Just an update for the 0-2 people who will ever find this useful: Finally got to the head gaskets the other day and while they don't look like they are in great shape, I don't see any obvious signs of being "blown". They are 3 sheets of thin aluminium with a black coating on parts that loo...
Looks like I'm dealing with a blown head gasket :( I was about to try to burp the system last night one last time and checked the oil cap, and sure enough, saw foamy oil around it. Does anyone know of a good online write up for replacing head gaskets? I know it's in the FSM, I just like to read a co...
New info: So yesterday I "burped" the cooling system, meaning that I put the front end up on jack stands and ran the car with a funnel in the radiator, watching the coolant go up and watched air bubbles go out of the system. After an hour, my car was not overheating and I finally got heat ...
You are correct sir. I bought the truck a couple months ago and luckily have all the service records. I wish I had seen them before I bought. However, I am not noticing a loss of coolant.
