Holy old thread :) I bought my '05 last year from an Acura dealer that had gotten it on a trade in. I noticed a belt squeal during the test drive and went ahead and ignored it hoping it was because it had been sitting for awhile. It didn't go away and would happen when the engine was cold but regard...

My '05 LE works flawlessly.

I have an '06 Charger w/ dual auto as well and that one doesn't keep consistent temps nearly as well.

My Pathy takes care of the temps perfect- I never have to adjust the temps- it's always around 74.

I might also point out to check the fluid level in the radiator itself. I had noticed a loss of heat at idle a few times and at first figured it could not be coolant level because the overflow jug was above the high mark at cold. But for whatever reason the radiator itself was actually low when I fi...

I got my letter too. I did the bypass so I'm not gonna sweat it. But it seems a bit like an empty gesture given the 80k mile part and the fact that I'm at 118k...

Unfortunately I can confirm that its not gone for me either after changing out my cabin filters. If anything its louder. Ugh... if you have any breakthroughs I will be keeping an eye on this thread.

As of now it only happens when its really windy at around 70mph but now it sounds like its coming from the engine bay. Before i changed the cabin filters it was happening all the time at 75-80 and sounded like it was coming from the passenger side. any other helpful advice? i rechecked the engine b...

Ok so the sound is back. But it sounds like its coming from the engine bay now. Instead of the passenger side. It starts to happen as low as 70mph now. Today it was very windy as opposed to the past week where it hasn't been at all. Really starting to annoy me. Not even 2 months owning the truck an...

Can someone point me to a quick how-to on the filters? I have no idea where to look. Thanks!

Re: wipers

I had an extremely similar noise on a Subaru, it was some crappy replacement wiper blades I had used, vibrating on the windshield. The thing is it's really loud, like it's inside the cabin. Plus, I thought of that and tried hitting the wiper when it was happening and didn't do anything. Thanks for ...

I have the same problem! It only happens around 80 MPH. The first time it happened I was doing 70-75 but there was a strong headwind. It comes from the passenger side and is definitely related to wind speed- on the windy day at a constant speed it would happen only when you could see/feel a gust. Ch...

Navteq DVD Update 6.9 - 2010-2011 Available

FYI, I didn't look for the other versions out there, but today the 2010-2011 update for 2005 Pathfinder went live (6.9). And since I haven't had a PF for more than a few months I don't know if this is an annual thing they do when it's a brand new release, or a one time deal, but the price went up fr...

I've been following this pretty closely since I just bought an '05 PF in May. I did the bypass for piece of mind but have seen the XTerra forum post about the very tangible affect the radiator has on the fluid temps. I find it interesting though no one has mentioned that according to the manual, the...

honeywell MRS93‑11BB Thanks this has me pretty close. But now that I know where I'm looking, can some one clarify something for me? Looking at the spec sheet: http://content.honeywell.com/sensing/prodinfo/tr/technical/100482_2_en.pdf Wouldn't I want MRS93-12BB? I interpret this: 11BB = On...

Does anyone know the exact model number on the switch? I'm having a hard time finding one that's an exact size match so it looks like it's meant to be there on the dash....

Thanks.
