Dealer says I need a new ac control module and the can help me out for a cool $720 bucks.

I'm thinking the wife didn't need heat or air conditioning anyway!

Thanks Dan. Great info. I think it may be the motor since the selected mode shows up on the screen (nav screen). It just labors to change modes. Come to think of it it does always start out in defrost. Never put that 2 and 2 together. I am gonna take it to the dealership tomorrow and see if they wil...

Climate Control Issue

2005 LE 4WD. 117K The AC gets cold (at least as cold as it ever has) but evidently the mechanism that switches from defrost to feet to dash vents has or at least has almost failed completely. I have to go from full cold (setting) to full hot and in manual mode eventually I can usually get the cold t...

Water in Tranny... How Long Do I Have?

So I had the radiator fail and soak the transmission. Surprise right?!?! Anyway, I had the radiator fixed (mostly because I could pay for that) and we flushed and filled the tranny with clean fluid. The car is back on the road and it runs pretty good-- nice strong starts and clean shifts with the ex...

Already done. I also filed on "CarComplaints.com" and signed up to join any class action suit. Probably most important is that I vow never to buy another Nissan product until they make this right for me and all the others affected by this. Shame is that I love Nissan cars. They are so cool...

Thanks SMJ. I think fraud might be a little strong of a word. I would simply be presenting a car with a bum transmission for them to figure out. I would not lie, just omit  . Anyway I am guessing (as you may have told me on another thread) that likely the warranty people will deny the claim...

Getting this paid for....

I have an extended warranty that should cover the transmission. What if I fix the radiator on my own then drain and fill the tranny fluids then take it to a shop and play dumb. Is there any reason the warranty company would deny my claim in this case? The radiator will be fixed and there will be no ...

I like the idea of putting in a better radiator more than bypassing the cooler in the factory one. Even if you have to pay a few hundred bucks to have the work done it is better than what I am looking at!

Thanks eieio. Time will tell if they cover it or not. I am the fool who did not bypass this issue. I guess at the end of the day I kind of thought this was one of those "internet problems" where the wide spreadness of the problem is over blown by the forums! Also I had some reservation abo...

Third Party Warrenty Repair

Hey Guys! Count me in on the failed radiator/ transmission group. I have filled out complaints with every website I can find. My question is this: Has anyone successfully had a third party service plan pay out any on this issue? My plan does not cover the radiator but does cover the transmission, bu...

No Heat at Idle

05 LE 4WD-- 80K miles.

For some reason at extended idle no heat comes out of the vents, air turns ice cold. Same for warming up the engine in the morning. As soon as you start driving the heat is nice and hot. Any ideas what could cause such a thing? Thanks...

Getting warm during ilde...

Hey guys. My 05 PF LE V6 that we just purchased about 1500 miles ago got close to overheating the other day while idling in a parking lot. The AC turned off and the temp gauge was near the top of the "normal" range. As soon as I drove a few feet (before I was out of the parking lot) it coo...
