Yeah the repair sure did take a while for me too! I'm sorry you had to spend so much. But I know how much better you feel knowing that its fixed! Did you happen to notice if your pathfinder was sitting lower on one side than the other when the apron was rotted?

mine did that too except I had to stop the vehicle, shift back to 2wd and roll back in reverse a bit to get it out of 4x4. After I had the transfer case seal & fluid replaced it went away. It was low on fluid because about a quart had seeped out!

have you had your front struts replaced before? I would almost gaurantee it has something to do with the strut pads. It's just noisy and isn't hurtng anything.
