Since an alignment where we live is only $49.95 I decided to go for it and it did fix the pull. They couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from either, the guy said to check all bushings but it sounded like the struts. Which were just replaced. Since then the tires look normal on the ground...

Yeah the repair sure did take a while for me too! I'm sorry you had to spend so much. But I know how much better you feel knowing that its fixed! Did you happen to notice if your pathfinder was sitting lower on one side than the other when the apron was rotted?

My husband and I have access to an auto hobby shop, yesterday when we had it up in the lift for a tire rotation we noticed some rather depressing things. 1) The little rubber boots on the NEW barely 2 months old ball joints had some how torn open & there was some grease seepage. 2) The outer edg...

mine did that too except I had to stop the vehicle, shift back to 2wd and roll back in reverse a bit to get it out of 4x4. After I had the transfer case seal & fluid replaced it went away. It was low on fluid because about a quart had seeped out!

have you had your front struts replaced before? I would almost gaurantee it has something to do with the strut pads. It's just noisy and isn't hurtng anything. You should get them replaced when you replace you front struts. Let me know if this helps. I have the same problem with my 2000 pf. I shoul...

I bought my pathfinder and just like you didn't notice this until it was mine :( I had the EXACT same problem & same place, the strut tower housing had rotted and the apron was peeling away and jabbing into the steering. I didn't notice until I came back from a trip to SC, hit a huge pothole on ...

Girl + Pathy = <3

I have a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder XE 4x4, it replaced my old 1997 Chevy Cavalier. Quite the upgrade! Currently having a mysterious front suspension problem no one can figure out :( , but I love this truck so I'm trying to figure it out! http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs065.snc3/13312_1015...
