Re: 05 Pathfinder LE - Replacement Rear Cupholder Parts

Thank you very much! I'll give that a try (the WD40 and the hair dryer). You've saved me a bit of coin not having to buy a heat gun! :) Will let you know how I get on when the part arrives.

Re: 05 Pathfinder LE - Replacement Rear Cupholder Parts

Thanks for the tips. A couple of follow up questions - can you tell from the diagrams where I'd apply the WD40? It looks like it's at the front of the housing. The replacement part arrives next week so I figure I can diagnose more of how the piece fits together by looking at the replacement and wher...

Re: 05 Pathfinder LE - Replacement Rear Cupholder Parts

Thanks guys, appreciate all the help on this. Last question (for now) anyway - are there any tips for getting the shell of the cupholder out of the housing? It looks like it just pops out but given the age of the plastic, I'm reluctant to just yank it out at risk of breaking something I can't replac...

Re: 05 Pathfinder LE - Replacement Rear Cupholder Parts

Thanks again for the reply. It does seem that there is confusion on this one, as the part listed in the TSB isn't compatible with my VIN: Nissan Parts 96965-ZS00A.png However, the one you mentioned earlier (and that I've ordered) does: Nissan Parts 96965-ZP00A.png I guess we'll find out! From the TS...

Re: 05 Pathfinder LE - Replacement Rear Cupholder Parts

So talking to the parts guy at my local Nissan dealer, he tells me that the part I ordered might not fit. This doesn't make any sense to me because when I look at the diagram for the 2005 model, it clearly shows the cupholder fitting into the console. He goes on to say that the parts I need are part...

05 Pathfinder LE - Replacement Rear Cupholder Parts

Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help me - my ancient Pathfinder has a broken rear cupholder. Of course, the parts are difficult to find but what is also difficult is to figure what the correct part is. I have the LE Pathfinder with the rear climate controls in the brown interior (Cafe Latte I think ...

Called the dealer, they thought it was safe to drive, so we drove it in this morning. I got it back from the dealer today, there was no stored code, oddly enough. I wonder if the fact it was flashing and didn't go solid meant a code wouldn't register. Then did find a leak in the plenum (I had no ide...

No, problem went away, until today when I started, drove for a couple of minutes, got a blinking service engine soon light for about twenty seconds, which quickly resolved, and then pulled over. Drove back home (a few hundred metres with no SES light illuminated, then parked. Will call the dealer in...

Sparkplugs haven't been done in a while; how would I know if they needed changing?

Does fuel system cleaner actually work? I had always heard those sorts of additives and cleaners weren't good for the car.

"Cold" is relative, and temperatures in B.C. today range from -27°C (-17°F) to +8°C (46°F) within the province. At what temperature do you start to have issues? Does it have a block heater? Fair enough! I'm more on the warmer side of your range. Seems to happen around 4-8 degrees or s...

05 Pathfinder LE - Runs Rough on Cold Start

I have a 2005 Pathfinder LE (Canadian V6 4WD) that I've owned since new. Last winter, I started noticing that on a cold start, the engine would seems to struggle. I would describe it as running rough (incomplete combustion?) but after a few minutes of driving, the problem would clear up and the truc...

Recommendations on 'Recommended Maintenance' for Clean/Flush

Hey everyone, I've got a 2005 Pathfinder LE with 140,000 KM on it. I had it in for some servicing and the techs recommended a bunch of stuff. I'd like to hear your take on the degree of necessity on these: - Brake Fluid Flush & Change - Power Steering Flush & Change - Fuel Injection Cleaning...

It's the picture right above the "old' XM outside mount... Labeled "New Inside XM Mount" ... It's the small black square up close to the headliner...... Triffid OK - now I know what to expect - I'm guessing they just installed it overtop of the window film? Great to hear that the new...
