Thanks for the input. My original plan was to go with Bilstein, but I was suckered into the Monroes by a rebate. I might put in the Billies yet. Sounds like that is the real solution I am looking for.

As far as the ride goes. The Monroes felt very nice up front. However, I am dissappointed in the rear. The Monroe does not seem to control rebound dampening as much as I wanted. From experience with Bilstiens on my Jeep I think the Billies would provide a much improved ride. But since my purchase wa...

Monroe quickstruts front and Moog rear springs review

Following the lead of some others in this forum I installed the Monroe quickstruts upfront and the Moog 81119 rear springs. Things are still settling in, but it appears I got about a 1/4" of lift up front and maybe 1/2" in the rear. So not as much as others appear to be getting. But my Pat...

Just got back from my trip. The air bags worked very well. I was very happy with how the Pathfinder handled all the extra weight. I know it would have been a very different ride without the air bags.

Thanks I ran 2 lines. It was a pretty easy job, but still took me longer than it should have.

I just got my airbags and have a few questions. Are you guys running 2 air lines or just one line? My concern is that if I run 1 shared line between both bags, won't that affect stability in corners. It seems to me that if both bags share the same line air will just pass between both bags. So if I a...

Its really sounding like a good idea to get the bags. Where is the best place to purchase the air bags?

Thanks I've really been considering getting the airbags. Seems like a good solution for when I'm loaded and giving me the ability to return to stock when empty. Although new springs are tempting as my Pathy does seem to sit about an inch lower in the rear.

I'm looking at doing something with my 2011 Pathy for a trip this summer. Those Armada springs look like an interesting option. Looking at the pictures it looks like you got about 3/4" of height is that right? How do you feel about the ride, loaded and empty, now that you have had them for a li...

What are shock/spring options for loaded long trip

I am hoping to take the family on a long vacation this year with my Pathfinder. We will be gone for about 2 weeks and we will carrying tents coolers etc. So we will be loaded down. I like the way the Pathy rides empty, but it does feel a bit soft when loaded down. My stock shocks have about 50,000 h...

Glad to hear the Cooper ATW has been quiet and good in winter. I have a set on hold at the local tire store. I just need to get in to have them installed. I went with a 255/70R17. A little taller and narrower than stock. I'd love to hear any more comments on the ATW. Especially if there is a reason ...

Okay. Thanks for that. I did more research and math and came to the conclusion that was the solution. Now I'm debating with myself on 265/70-17's or 245/75-17's. Please post back if you go with the 245/75R17. I've been thinking of running that exact size. The tire that I was looking at was the Hank...

I'm a fan of tall skinny tires. A tire size that I am considering is a 245/75R17. It gives about the same height (31.5"+/-) as a 267/70R17 but is narrower. Or if you want taller yet, check out the 255/75R17. That tire is a full 32" and in some tires (GY MTR) can be up to 32.5" Thats a...

Has anyone swapped their auto for a manual

Has anyone swapped their auto tranny for a manual in their R51 Pathfinder? I hate auto transmissions. I'd love to put one of the manuals out of the Frontier or Xterra into my Pathfinder. But if the cost isn't prohibitive, I wonder if its even possible. Can the computers be programed to work with a m...

Thanks guys. I'm glad to hear that the 265/75R16 will fit without issues. I thought it should but I didn't know if NIssan used different springs or rims or anything for the OR edition to make them fit. With that info my next tire will likely be a bigger tire than my stock 265/65R17. I know my speedo...
