With the 3lt V6 Turbo Diesel R51. Ti550. I average about 9.6 liter/100 km = 24.50 mile/gallon (US) But the best I've ever seen it is 7 liter/100 km = 33.60 mile/gallon (US). That was cruising, down a highway behind a freight truck. Towing at a little over 3 Ton, I got 14 liter/100 km = 16.80mile/gal...

It is possible that it'll fit, as the valley and runners are pretty tall... removing those would get it to sit a lot lower.

We just got them here in Aus. Curious, what's the tow rating over there?
And what engine? I'm guessing the 3.5lt V6?

Nup, it's a full sized alloy, so you can rotate spare when you do a tyre rotation.

Needing stock Alloy's info to get Steel's offset right.

Ok, so I can have a responcible set of tyres and rims and then a weekend offroad set, I need to find a durable and or cheap (relative) set. We get the 6x114.3 stud pattern (or 4.5" imperial). That's fine, it's the same as the Navara and a few others around now, but the offset is diffe...

I run mine (R51 Ti550) at 45psi... gives better handling and fuel economy. Low pressures are good for soft surfaces at low speeds... medium pressures give a comfy ride... I like handling and fuel economy. Dont worry, safety wise) about the pressure being high... they need to get over 150psi to pop o...

The other thing to consider other than the brand and tyre type is the surface/contact area and the side profile. The smaller the side profile the better it will take the corners, as will a larger contact area... but that only works to a point, if you go too large the side wall will balloon and flex ...

Though, I think I'd rather the tow point bolts break than a chassis rail.

Wish Nissan Aust used the same tow setup as you guys! We're advised not to use a WDH... so the local after market one's are used a lot more often.

Prevention is always better than cure!

I think if you did the bypass, the only potential reason Nissan would reject a trans claim would be if it overheated. But you'd be having to do something funky or hauling something huge to do that.

Aussie tow bars do have the 2" square hole for the various hitches. But ours is mounted similar to the how it is done in Europe, using the 6 bolts. http://www.pcoa.org.au/forum/download/file.php?id=1882&mode=view http://www.pcoa.org.au/forum/download/file.php?id=1934&mode=view So i thin...
