[quote="NVSteve"]Found this in a magazine this month. The R51 lives on & funny there was no mention of the 2013 It is always a marketing thing to get rid of old models. I would like to see though how they will market the 2013 and what "improvements" they will claim over the o...

More on physics: drag force depends on the area-squared for large objects like the pathy so avoid putting things up there. Drag force also depends on the speed-squared for speeds greater than 60-65 MPH so keep it around there. Air temperature also plays a factor so deffinitely drive early morning or...

UPDATE Well, I installed the HID kit on regular headlight and not happy with results: light is scattered too much and not much different in lightning amount. In fact, it glares too much from signs on the road. This is due parcially because the housing is too big and little light is focused forward. ...

Hey NVSteve, how long have you had the headlight projectors? Just wondering about the durability. Also, do you have to remove the grill to install them?

HID Lights Installation Tips

I finally made the decision to step up to HID lights after burning out a regular bulb.

Anxiously waiting my 6000k xenon kit. I was wondering if anybody had issues with theirs either performance wise or installation. Or simply share your experience with HIDs.[/i]

If my wife, who knows nothing about car mechanics, says she feels a difference, there must be a difference in higher octane. I normally fill it up for her and she tells me if I got the "cheap stuff." I think everything has been pointed out. However, I would like to add another (possible) b...

Yup. Got a car already so I think ill keep my current style Pathfinder SUV. I think the current model was a killer combination of size and capability. Now you gotta chose between the huge Armada or this new thing.

Yup. It is the "interlock" solenoid under the shifter. Apparently soda leaking over time built sugar gum and its causing it to stick. Dealer wanted $360 to fix it. I think I can do it myself for $5. I'm going to clean it before ordering one. So don't spill drinks in your pathfinder. As for...

Just in case you have same problem... It started with shift locked in park. I unmounted the pedal switches and didn't put them back flushed with the pedal. This made the brake system think I was lightly applying the brakes. The system kicked in after driving for a while and "helped" by inc...

Overheating brakes

I had this pathfinder and never a problem. Now problems are starting...1. the shifter wont come out of park; 2. The DVC and traction lights come on. 3. The front brakes were smoking after driving 3 miles. How are they all related? HELP! Please. I can't afford to take it to the dealer. It probably ca...

Okay. Thank u both for the feedback.

Now there is bigger problem. The front brakes get stuck and smoke was coming out because they overheated. This was in a distance of 2 miles.

How is the shift related to the front brakes. HELP!

shift lock problem

My wifes pathfinder has been locking on Park. Only way to shift it is to manually push the shift lock. I have been researching the problem and only find info on older pathys.

Is this a common issue on 2005-up pathys? If so what is the solution?
