air box pre-filter?

Hey guys, glad the website finally let me back in...anyways, please see the photos below. See that crappy filter element between the wall and the plastic plate? Well its basically disintegrating just by looking at it. Should I try and replace it or just remove it or leave it alone? What do you think...

Forgive me for reviving a dead thread here..... So this happened to me this morning. She was fine this morning for a while while driving around, then all of a sudden I noticed the oil pressure was at the top of the normal range while I was on the gas. At idle it went back down to half way. Usually a...

SERVICE ENGINE SOON

Posting here because I'm not sure if it belongs anywhere else... So this has happened twice now. 2005 Pathy, 95k miles. I am driving along and everything is fine. All of a sudden the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light comes on. Truck is running completely normal, no hicuups or anything. Light stays on for a ...

I had a Taco for a few years as a work truck daily driver. I drove all over the NYC metro area and the 5 boroughs. Lets just say she took quite a beating and held up pretty well. She moved along pretty well, gas milage was on par with the V6 Pathy.

One of the best lines I've read in a while.

Thanks for the info Doc. I guess the issue is that it's just too light to get any real traction in slippery conditions.

If it's been like that since the last wheel alignment, I would agree that someone didn't centralize the steering wheel properly during the wheel alignment. If the steering wheel was centered and all of the sudden it's not, then the wheel alignment must have got take out of alignment and you get one...

Looks like you're really enjoying your newsed (read: new used) Jeep. Didn't you say in your OP that you were buying it for your wife since here Volvo is only FWD? You driving it more than her these days? Anyways, my real question is, how is it for day to day driving? How is the handling, fuel econom...

Steering wheel angle is off

I just noticed this within the last week or so. The alignment is fine, she does not wander around the road at all, but the steering wheel is slightly turned to the left. I am driving the truck in a straight line and the wheel is slightly to the left. If I try and orient the steering wheel back to &q...
