I get 21mpg on my 99 3.3 2WD. It has an 18 gallon tank approx . . . I get 245 miles to a tank consistant. I usually can go 38 miles safely with the low fuel light on and I've only broken into the 300's a few times. Also I find if I keep it under 70 my mileage goes way up. I usually drive at least 8...

Currently my 02 Pathy is throwing the P0430 code, which is the same code as yours, but driver's side bank. I had a friend do a heavy intake clean, replaced the spark plugs (they were SHOT, and a PITA to change), and code reset and the SES remained off for about 700 miles. We also checked for intake/...

The swaying sounds like the 'death rock'. Usual advice is to replace the rear trailing arm bushings.

Here's a useful link for replacing the bushings:

Well crap, the SES threw the P0430 code again . . . looks like I have to try a few other things, and if all else fails, replace the catalytic converter.

Man it feels like I am the only one posting in my own thread . . . oh wait, I am! So I successfully solved the P0430 code error. A buddy of mine ran some Valvoline Intake Cleaner through main vacuum line on the intake plenum and the sucker smoked for a good 15 minutes. It cleaned out the system fair...

So I was under my 02 last weekend and I gave a good rap on the exhaust heat shielding and it made the same exact sound I hear at lower RPMs when I step on the gas. I tried to look at the mount locations to see if they were rusted out, but the ones I could see seemed fine. I think the thin (it's prob...

Well, I answered a couple of my own questions . . . Apparently I need to buy 6 quarts of GL-4 Manual Transmission fluid, and 5 quarts of GL-5 Gear Oil to cover both differentials. The Repair Manual suggests 80W-90 GL-5 gear oil for the differentials, but the AMSOIL site says the Severe Gear 75W-90 w...

Lol, my other car is a Stanza so I totally understand. The Stanza needs some work right now, and I needed a SUV for the utility aspect, which gave me an excuse to buy the PF. I estimate about 18-19 mpg in town, but that's without the pedal stomp that is so much fun with 250 horses on tap. I plan on ...

Interesting, I just bought an '02 with manual transmission as well, only mine has 152k miles on it. I also get a slightly odd noise particularly in 3rd and 4th gear when the RPMs are low. At higher RPMs the noise goes away. Sounds kind of like a large truck differential and transaxle in the same sit...

2002 Pathfinder advice needed

Hello everyone! I am a long time Nissan owner, first time Pathfinder owner, and I was looking for some advice. I purchased a 2002 Pathfinder SE, manual tranny, 4WD, a few weeks ago and love it so far. However, it's throwing a P0430 code error, which is most likely the bank 2 primary catalytic conver...
