I got the grease but I tried the electrical tape first. Put the tape on and no squeak. Used a six inch piece and wrapped it on the hood part of the latch.

i've turned off my ABS when offroading by pulling the fuse. it works. it also turns off the dashboard. when you're going down a heavy slipface and the ABS kicks in, you're in for a bumper replacement if not more. http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp222/mar1nasr/scotts_6643.jpg Is the Pathfinder st...

I run 15 psi on the beach. Looking at the tires, the bottom portion is much smaller than the top. Looks good to me. :D

Pathy on the beach

Took a ride to the beach to fish for a few hours, first time with my new to me Pathy. The bite was slow so I took a nice ride to test the 4x4. About half of my ride included sand much deeper than pictured, 8-10". Started in 4hi (not auto) and was going good till it got deep. Lots clicking going...

@ Hesh: What stiffness setting did you put your Rancho Loaded struts at? I will be getting mine installed next week after the lower A-arm cam bolts come in. I was thinking of setting it at 7 to start off with. I left mine at the standard, 5 I think. Will see how the ride feels after a week or so an...

The biggest disadvantage is the truck delivers 7% less power to the wheels and is therefore slower. While the V8 has lots of power to begin with, it also already has taller gearing than the V6, so adding 7% additional is something you can really feel. Do you feel the overall gearing significantly r...

There's a bunch of little advantages and disadvantages... The biggest advantages are a much larger footprint for traction when off-roading, and an extra inch of ground clearance without mucking with the OEM suspension. The biggest disadvantage is the truck delivers 7% less power to the wheels and i...

Correct. The new setup might rub the same amount, I never noticed/worried about it, really not an issue. Awesome setup on your Pathy! Can I ask a question about the tire size you chose? Why did you go bigger than the stock size? The mileage and speed is inaccurate. I agree that it looks awesome, bu...

There's something about those running boards that doesn't look right to me. Will probably take them off. And those tires are terrible, all dryrotted. I will most likely get some BFG AT, not sure of the size to get. Bigger is better right?
