Washer fluid tank problem...

I have a problem with the washer fluid tank in my '95 Pathfinder.

I have filled it up twice now, only to have a majority of my windshield fluid leak out the bottom to the point my tank is almost empty.

I am not sure why it is doing this and what I need to check.

Re: what to do with old muffler and springs

what should i do with them? will a metal recycling place take them? i'm not really looking to make any $ off them (really don't think they're worth it honestly), just want to dispose of them properly. I don't see why they wouldn't. I took my old alternator to a scrap yard and they took it. Your bes...

What was wrong with it? If its just brushes, you could probably get it rebuilt for pretty cheap and resell it. However, if it was the regulator or rectifier, then I'd get scrap value, the copper on the coil should be worth a couple bucks, like maybe $2-5. I did this myself on my wife's 87 prelude. ...

What to do with an old alternator?

I just had my alternator replaced and I asked my mechanic if he could take my old one to recycle. He said yes, but he ended up giving me back my old one (Which I don't mind at least they are honest). But now, what do I do with it? I bought it off ebay and not at a parts store, so I know I will not g...

Pathfinder working like a champ again!

All went well today. Went to the repair shop at about 8 am, waited till about 8.30 and was out by about 10 am or so. Then went to the parts store where I bought my battery to make sure it didn't need a charge and sure enough it didn't (was running at 12.5 volts). They must have charged the battery f...

Just to give everything the best possible chance, you should put your battery on a charger. Alternators aren't reeally designed to chargew the battery in that way. Yes, I was just thinking about that...been trying to see if anyone I know has one I can borrow, but no go...I suppose if the battery is...

It was at half charge when I went and initially tested it....I hope the new alternator will charge the battery back up.

Once I get the alternator replaced, should I go and get my battery replaced too or should I just leave the battery I have alone?

Hopefully you'll have warranty on the battery if its gone bad due to the alternator. Replace the alternator and see what happens with the lights. Most of the sensors have a 'minimum voltage' requirement, and if not met, can light up the dash. Thanks. Will see how it goes after the alternator change...

Do I need to worry?

1995 Nissan Pathfinder. Had the AT Temp, brake and battery light all come on at once. Took it to an O'Reliy parts store to have it checked and they told me my alternator is going bad. Ordered a new remanufactured one and once it gets here, will take it to my mechanic to have it replaced. My front br...

Not going to change the antenna now.

Apparently, I am able to receive nearly all the radio stations I listen to, even with most of the antenna gone.

I think I must have had my stereo tuned into AM stations instead of FM,

But it's working again, so there is really no need to change out the antenna.

Is it manual or power antennae? If it's power, do you need to replace just the antennae mast or the entire motor assy? According to the spec sheet (Yes it came with the original spec sheet when I bought it :D), it makes no mention of a powered antenna, so I am assuming it's manual. Was just looking...

Removing radio antenna fron '95 Pathfinder

I need to know how to remove a radio antenna from a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder. Mine broke and I need to buy a new one and install it, but first, I need to remove the broke one. I have been in no hurry to do this, as I listen to music off a USB dongle or through bluetooth on my cell phone (My car stereo...

Changing Shift knob...

Is it hard to change the shift knob on the 4WD gearbox?

Wanted to get an aftermarket shift knob for it.

The labor for a shop to replace these fluids would vary widely depending on where you take it (dealer, nationwide chain, independent shop) so it would be hard to give any accurate information on a forum like this. Just call your family mechanic and ask them how much. If it's too much take it elsewh...
