It's the Oxygen sensor. I have seen the same problem in many pathfinder forums and it always turns out to be the oxygen sensor.

I changed all the suss items b4 finding out on a forum like this it was the O2 / Oxygen sensor.

In the 94 model the O2 sensor is half way down the exhaust and is exposed to conditions such as puddles etc. When I had a problem with acceleration it turned out to be the O2 sensor. I had a similar problem when my v6 Pathy reached running temp it lost all acceleration.
I relpaced all the usual suspects (and some) and it turned out to be the O2 sensor located half way down the exhaust pipe and has wires running to the engine bay.
