Well, I only remember connecting all the power wires plus the speaker wires, so I must have missed the amp on cord (lime green) in all the mess of wires back there... it sounds like that would be a major issue if I missed it. Another quick question: do the amps each have their own fuses (not located...

It is very possible I messed up; however, I did hook it up to another set of speakers and it worked on them... There must be a wire in the stereo compartment I am missing that is essential (I have also been told I needed to hook up an amp wire to the "Accessory" wire coming from my stereo,...

there were 2 ground wires I found in the stereo compartment. They both looked like they were crimped together, so I only grounded one of them... think I need to ground both or something? I probably won't have time to give this another try until the summer, but I will let you know how it goes. I'll t...

2001 Aftermarket Stereo

To anyone who has suffered immensely over installing an aftermarket radio, I plead for your expertise (or electrical engineers will work, masters degree minimum), I thought this would be like any other car stereo installation, but I was so sadly mistaken. I have tried hooking up my Sony MEXBT39uw in...

they may be LED, but it shouldn't affect how many fuses they are on. Out of logic, I am sure Nissan threw the cabin's lights and/or dash lights on one fuse.

Anyway, best of luck finding that fuse!

Oh, that's not good. I have a 2001, but in mine there are two under the hood (one on pass, one on driver side) and one to the left of the steering wheel, yeah. Typically, things under the hood have fuses that don't often open, and they control things not in the cabin. I am sure it is a fuse that is ...

If the car systems can support it, you could always try cutting away some of the area, sanding it down, and then just putting a trim around it after the stereo is put in to make it look like no cutting occurred; but, I know how frustrating getting a good sound system can be!

I find it easier to just go into the fuse box (this will be the one in the cabin, not under the hood) and read the labels to see what sound like they could control the thing that isn't working, and then just pull it out and give it a look under some light.

Trouble Code P0160

Hey guys, Had the check engine light come on in my pathy, so I brought it in to have the code read, and it was a P0160 (bank 2, sensor 2, if I am not mistaken - the guy analyzed it as the rear O2 sensor (downstream of cat) on passenger's side). Just wanted to see if other people had this code and ca...

2001.5 Pathfinder SE Auto Squeal

Hey guys! I started up my 2001.5 Pathy last night, and it made a loud squeal sound. It was about 15F out, and I hadn't started the car for probably 3 hours (and it was outside in that cold the whole time). I had been to the mountains and a hair cut earlier that day, both of which would have also bee...

2001.5 Pathfinder SE Auto A/C (Climate Control)

Hey guys, I just bought a 2001.5 (late 2001) Pathy SE Auto, and I am trying to figure out just how the air conditioning works on it... It has the digital display for the climate control unit, as seen in the image here: http://3-photos.ebizautos.com/used-2...118-11-640.jpg I don't see a distinct A/C ...

I had this same issue... Is it where when you use the auto power window, it rolls it up, then drops it about an inch or two so that it is open again? If so, the solution is so incredibly simple. There is a sensor in the window to prevent fingers getting rolled up, and the sensor is freaking out righ...

I bought a pathy in your situation

I just bought a 2001.5 Pathy SE Auto last week. One key thing to look for is WHEN the 2001 was built. Early 2001 models have the much weaker 3.3L V6 (about 190HP) whereas the late 2001 (2001.5) models have the powerful 3.5L V6 (240 HP). I have read that the 2001 year have some engine issues, which m...
