They way I would handle it is I would remove the front converter (which would require removing the rear converter, as well, soak the nuts/studs down with rust penetrant, wire brush the nut and threads ...

Tough to say without looking at it, but I would say there are two possible options. One is to get a new nut and weld it on; obviously, make sure the gas can is placed far away while welding and positi ...

I couldn't really say without actually experiencing what the vehicle is doing for myself. Typically, when there is an issue with the variable timing, a code will trigger.

Yes, the VQ40DE is the same way; they always idle a little rough. It's built-in at the factory! Wink

Not really. You might get a rough idle or, worse case scenario, an engine stall, if you have a lot of loads on the engine at a stop (air conditioning, headlamps, etc.). Hard starting in cold temperatu ...

The IACV-AAV valve controls cold start fast idle and helps maintain base idle under loads. The valve, which sits on the bottom side of the upper plenum, could be dirty or bad. Try following the factor ...

Stick with genuine Nissan, Hitachi, NTK or Denso sensors. Some of the other brands are a bit hit and miss.

It would be helpful to get a scantool look at the fuel trim and MAS input. You could try cleaning the MAS hotwire. Camshaft position sensors can sometimes become faulty and not always throw a code, bu ...

You're exceeding the tow capacity by almost 1300 lbs. and driving through the Rockies. I wouldn't recommend it.

Well, the R50 and R52 Pathfinders are unibody chassis, so you can't use either of them. The R51 has a frame, but it's completely different than a WD21 frame and I've never heard of anyone doing that k ...

Actually, the passenger side is the worse because you can't get the heat shield off in one piece unless you lift the engine off of the mounts. When I installed my Doug Thorley headers, I had to cut th ...

I saw this at ClubFrontier and got excited for a minute, but this heater connection upgrade is apparently only for the right bank heater hose on models without rear HVAC. If only they could come up wi ...

A long time ago, I worked on a Hardbody V6 4x4 with an auto trans that had a similar problem. Cold, it would start up and drive fine, but after going a few blocks, it would start slipping bad and then ...
