Radiator and reservoir question

When the reservoir cap is open and I also open the radiator cap is the coolant from the radiator supposed to go down and fill the reservoir up ? I remember it doing this before I changed my thermostat.

Re: Need new key fob

Thanks but I don’t think I can access those settings. Only ones I see on the vehicle settings are under driver convenience menu. Nothing there to unlock when in Park. Or unlock when key removed. Must be a default setting. It is, but on some of the older stuff it can be changed by the dealer with BC...

Re: Need new key fob

I managed to get the key fobs programmed using the key method. But still unsure why each time I remove key the doors all unlock. It's supposed to work that way. On some models you can change it so there's no Auto Unlock or so it does it when you put the shifter in Park instead of when the key is re...

Re: Need new key fob

The key has to be programmed by a dealer or smithy in order to start the engine. You can easily self-program the fobs. See DLK-117 for the procedure: https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual?fsm=Pathfinder%2F2009%2FDLK.pdf Each time I remove the key from the ignition barrel the doors unlock. Is ther...

Re: 2009 PF V6 SE spec auto dim rear view mirror?

Virtually all Nissan Homelink mirrors only require power and ground to work. Some of them have other functionalities like outside temperature, but they'll all dim normally and work the garage door even if the bells and whistles aren't connected. You can pretty much install any used one from any mod...

Re: Need new key fob

As long as you're sure it fits. I wouldn't go by looks or MMY. Lots of Nissan fobs look identical but don't have the same internal hardware. Get the OE fob part number from NissanPartsDeal using your VIN, then google for fobs using that. I was cross referencing the FCC ID. I ordered one from Amazon...

Re: Squeaking noise front driver side axle

At a drive-thru, maybe when it's quiet evening and you can hear "things", or at a place where you can get close to a wall to hear it (since it's on the driver's side)... ...try turning right and left and see if it squeaks when you turn. The pressure on the ball joint could be the metal ru...

Re: Need new key fob

Instead of creating a new thread I’d thought I’d ask on here. My 2009 PF uses a chip key and fob for lock on unlocking. I would like to be able to get a set since my PF only come with one set of keys. I looked at a few places on the internet and they sell the key and remote fobs but not pre programm...

Re: 2009 Pathfinder Radiator Bypass hose routing question?

My 06/2009 build date PF has the 21460-ZL11A am I safe? Your ZL11A was the very last iteration before Nissan issued the 9CA0E, which was the "final solution" for the cooler problem. The vast majority of failures were in the '05~'06 models, but a few (very few, really) failures were still ...

Re: Electric radiator fan stuck on high speed mode

I just looked at the old thermostat and housing for markings. All I could see was “motorad “ written on it. I assume it wasn’t a Nissan part.

Re: Electric radiator fan stuck on high speed mode

It's not a hole. Generally it's a rivet that keeps the upper spring retainers from moving around. Sometimes they're constructed with blind hollow rivets inserted from inside, and that makes them feel like they might be a vent hole. They aren't, they're sealed.Rad Cap Construction.jpg Thanks for you...

Re: Electric radiator fan stuck on high speed mode

Quick question you know the orange stickers on the rad and reservoir caps? Are they just aesthetic? If you mean the one that says... никогда не открывать горячим 決して熱く開かない JAMAIS OUVERT à CHAUD NIE HEIß öFFNEN NEVER OPEN HOT ...then no, unless you happen to like burn rehab and would like to try it ...

Re: Electric radiator fan stuck on high speed mode

Just an update. The thermostat got replaced today and all seems good. Temps didn’t exceed 195F now.
