It's a relatively heavy liftgate. I have a 2011 I just bought. It was put into service October 2010 and with 38k on it the rear lift struts need to be replaced. I'll be taking it back to the dealer for a freebie. One of the benefits of a certified used car. I'll be milking Nissan for anything and ev...

Damn, dude. You have the ears of a dog. I have a feeling I'll be revisiting this thread when mine starts acting up. I hate rattles and squeeks. I have one somewhere in the ceiling between the moonroof and the rear DVD dropdown screen. Need someone else to drive and let me diagnose it before I end up...

What year PF are you running? I considered something like this but price seemed a little crazy last time I checked. I ended up adding aux lights to drastically improve my high beams....but the low beams are still blah. Followup after you do this with the details! I have a 2011. It's definitely expe...

Hi all, im new here and ive got a 2008 pathy SE. I love the car but for some reason, the fuel gauge i feel actually shows less fuel than that actually in the tank, Like for Eg. i usually pump gas when the meter reads just below the quater mark. I would then only end up pumping around 55-60 liters o...

FOUND IT! Amazing how similar the desciption is. NTB08045 IF YOU CONFIRM: A short-lasting (less than 1 second) bump/thump is felt: With light throttle application (slight throttle tip-in, less than 2/8), while driving on a flat or slightly inclined road, with the transmission in fith gear and torqu...

Actually this is quite normal. Had a Jeep Cherokee with a 4.0L that had just about every bolt-on available and a 3" lift. I got around 18-20 MPG in the summer which would drop to under 15-16 MPG in the winter. You wouldn't happen to be letting the vehicle warm up in the driveway during the wint...

Re: 2005 Pathy Blower Motor only works full high

Recently my blower motor started working on full high all the time. It doesn't matter if I have a/c on or just air....low or high cranked on the blower dial....it just blows full blast. It will turn off if I go full left. Any thoughts? I've heard this might be a resistor issue? Thanks That's exactl...

the 09s here onwards stopped having the box.
my 2011 has a first aid kit in the rear lift gate. Not sure what the smugglers box is.

Anyone have a side by side image of the old vs new R51?

Drive it up on to ramps and the rest will come out... :) Agreed. I have always employed jack stands when changing the oil on any of my vehicles. This is better than the dealer lift or your standard quick lube shop where the vehicle is level. The front being lifted higher than the rear ensures prope...

Mine is the same way. I have learned to downshift manually and it works very nicely. I shift down to the next lowest gear when it gets to 1200 - 1300 RPM's. Coming off the HWY I can almost downshift it to a stop without using the brakes (when you do this you will see your MPG’s go up on the screen)...

Re: 2011 Transmission Shift Questions

Hello, I have a 2011 Pathfinder Silver. I am pretty sure my Tranmission isn't shifting properly. 1. It seems like my transmission likes to shift to 5th gear. Once its hits 35 mph the RPMS really bog down. Were talking around 1000 to 1250 rpm between 35 to 40 mph. 2. When under a load or declerating...

If you decide to change your own oil and filter just a friendly reminder most of the major brands run periodic rebates and coupon offers.

I've got the VK56DE motor and it's tuned more for torque than high RPM horse power. I suspect if you were towing in high altitudes or mashing the gas peddle in the middle of 90 degree heat in the summer then perhaps a higher octane fuel might be warranted. But in my daily commute I rarely exceed 250...
