Re: Fan Clutch Rebuild

A lot of people have had problems with the aftermarket fan clutches so hopefully you won't run into any issues. I usually recommend spending the extra money and getting the genuine Nissan part.

Re: Coolant leaking

I believe the hose you are looking for is Nissan # 14056-0W002. It would be part code 14056NB on the diagram. As far as the other issue, I like to use a Lisle spill-free funnel which has an adapter that lets you mount it to the radiator cap fitting on the top tank of the radiator. Raise the front en...

Re: Front cabin & centre cabin light switches in centre position, but no lights

You'll need an ohmmeter or a continuity tester (most will have one or both of these on a multimeter). One wire attaches to one pin on the circuit and the other wire attaches to the other pin on the circuit. As the switch is moved on to off or vice versa, the continuity tester should signal if there ...

Re: Front cabin & centre cabin light switches in centre position, but no lights

It wouldn't be the bulbs, but it could be the switch control in the lamp. You might try removing the dome lamps and spraying the contacts with some electrical contact cleaner. You could also component check it with a continuity tester. Otherwise, the room lamps are controlled by the BCM with inputs ...

Re: Loose wipers?

I wouldn't recommend getting used ones; the plastic bushings are already worn and you weaken them more when you pry them off of the ball stud. Last thing you want is to be driving in a rain storm and have the wipers stop working! New links aren't that expensive.

Same for me; I have an LE, alloy 17" rim with P265/65R17 tire for my spare.

Re: 4lo wont engage

Most of the problems (which are few) with the AUTO mode transfer case are usually caused by the transfer relay, itself, whether it be resistance between the relay contacts and the pins of the harness connector or the relay itself. Other than that, we seldom have any issues with them. My own, 2006 LE...

Re: 2022 Frontier = R51 Improvements?

Since they both use the F-Alpha platform, it may be possible that the mounts will interchange and possible the seats, as well. As far as the next gen Pathfinder, it looks much improved over the R52 but is still using a unibody chassis and a transverse mounted engine. And taking into consideration ho...

Fan Clutch Rebuild

ClubFrontier.org member "0truck0" posted this excellent tutorial on how to refill the oil in a fan clutch on his Gen 2 Frontier. I thought this might be of interest to some, so here's the link:

Re: Alternator questions

The alternator from Nissan will be # 2310M-EA20ARW and will be listed as remanufactured. Nissan has always sold replacement starters and alternators as "remanufactured" although they usually look (or are) brand new.

Re: The Bose stereo stopped reading my CDs

Either replacing or fixing...your option. If you can get a good, used unit for a much less than it would cost to have it repaired, I would go that way. Did you check out the place I suggested before?:

Re: Restrictive air filter?

I'm surprised that a new, Denso air filter would make that much difference in drivability compared to your previous filter, but I guess anything's possible? If your Honda has an idle air volume relearn procedure, you could try installing the Denso filter and then do the procedure to see if the perfo...
