Ideas wanted: gear storage

I'm looking for ideas on storing gear in the Pathfinder. Consider this a rehash of this thread . I found a need to carry a bigger fire extinguisher and some other stuff and am looking to improve my gear stowage solution. The new extinguisher is 16" tall by maybe 6" diameter. The other new ...

Well, just got her back from the dealer. Bad fuel pump. I caved/forgot to ask to see the old pump. I had to have it towed last night to the Nissan dealer even though it was literally parked 100 feet as the crow flies from the service writer's desk. The roads around the dealership are fubar and no fu...

Well, I pretty certain the 3 WEEK OLD fuel pump failed with maybe 600 miles on it. I had to meet my Dodge service manager friend for church meeting today. I drove to his dealership and rode with him to the meeting. My Pathy wouldn't start. when I go to leave his dealership. One of his mechanic/servi...

Well, she did it again this morning. I go out around 9:20 to head to church and the Pathy won't start. Same symptoms as before: cranks hard but won't start. I thought I heard the fuel pump spin up. I switched the fog light relay and the ECM relay on the IPDM based on this troubleshooting tip and she...

She stranded me again!!!

Like the subject says, the Pathy left me high and dry again. She cranked hard but never started. I was leaving work last night and the Pathy wouldn't start. A co-workers husband, a mechanic, happened to be there to pick up his wife so he offered some assistance. I mentioned the IPDM issues and my co...

2 car payments is ludicrous and I don't recommend to anybody! $750 a month makes my car payments higher than the mortgage on my house! Ridiculous. t I think I'd kill to have a $750 mortgage payment. Between the two houses, my mortgage payments are just over $3000. Granted our old house's payment is...

She's all mine!!

At the risk of jinxing myself, my Pathfinder is finally all mine. I purchased her in August 2006 with a 5-yr loan. I paid the loan off early yesterday. It's been nearly 13 years since I've truly and completely owned my vehicle. With 11 monthly payments left, I didn't save much interest but it feels ...

OK, now I'm getting a little concerned that I was "double dipped." The fuel level sending unit recall covers parts and labor to replace the sending unit. My invoice lists the "25060-ZZ00A GAUGE ASSY" (sending unit) and 17341-EA000 (packing/O-ring) as no-charge under the recall. I...

Long story: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?p=465&highlight=#465 Short story: The original/first sending until failed at roughly 3500 miles -- before the first oil change. The second failed at 45,000 miles. As the Pathy was out of warranty, I purchased the sending unit and O ring with...

She wouldn't start

So, yesterday morning the Pathy would not start. She cranked fine but would not start. She ran fine on Sunday when I made a 400 mile round-trip to visit family in Delaware. I'm don't know how to test for spark and fuel so I didn't mess with that. Based the discussions here and elsewhere, I figured i...

In my neck of Virginia, a Carry-on brand 5x8 wood floor trailer start around $750 new at Lowes, Tractor Supply, etc. Trailers are like cars and need to be titled at the DMV. Is the title clean? Other things to check are: 1. Are the tires still good? You're looking at $100 for new tires if needed (hi...

In an interesting spin-off on the Garmin nüvi recall, Suzuki Recalls Equator, Grand Vitara, SX4 due to Garmin fire hazard.

I wonder if Nissan will do same for those that purchased their Navigation Docking Station and nüvi as dealer installed options.

Although, it appears they no longer make or sell that LH tow hook.
