Welcome To The Forum :) Questions: * Is there some way to diagnose this early? no * Does the radiator fail (crack, leak, etc.,) What color should the antifreeze be? Green? internally. OEM antifreeze is green. * Is there some kind of test I can run on my antifreeze to determine if it has potentially ...
My emphasis on So far and At this point, are because recall campaigns sometimes go through revisions as the campaigns progress, often including a wider range of VINs and/or a change in the repair procedures.
Yeah I know dryart that they used a date for the reason that, through that manufacturing period, they apparently used a bad batch. However, if these FSU are such a big problem, and for models outside of the current VIN range, why would they not just come clean and say that they are failing due to f...
It's bullshit that some arbitrary date seems to be a cut off, I don't care what their records show, A whole lotta vehicles made it out with shitty fuel sending units. They just told me tough luck... the cutoff is not an arbitrary date :( the vehicles affected by the recall campaign fall within spec...

I'm a "stickler" for OEM filters (air, oil & cabin).
On a different note, are you aware of the coolant/transmission oil contamination potential?
so after further reading on other forums about synthetic & my current 94k mileage, i should prob not fully switch over to synthetic. i suppose i can stay with the cheap oil. it's alittle easier on my pocketbook anyway that may be the safest thing to do, with a good quality oil. there's a lot of...
