no prob cliff_jumper, if you need any help, lemme know. It seems daunting, but you can TOTALLY do it yourself. Odds are if you talk to NISSAN USA, they'll come back with a 33/33/34 split between you the delear and nissan. There is a very recently updated part that many dealers don't even stock yet,...

I have an '06 v6 and tow a boat that is about 4000lbs on a light day, more if loaded up for camping. We also often have a lot of people/gear in the truck. I find the WORST MPG for me is when in 4th gear at about 60-65mpg. Here in Kentucky we have hills, and every hill will unlock the torque converte...

We have a smaller boat (22' deck boat), but launch it every weekend in the summer. We trailer it about 100 miles in the spring/fall and leave it in storage (on the trailer) and launch every weekend. We also pick it up and take it to different lakes 1-2 times a summer). We used to trailer it everywhe...

I assume you store it at the same marina you are launching at right? If it were me, I'd pull it out at the end of the season too. I'd take it down/up the ramp in 4low (keep it in 2WD until you get lined up so you will not be turning on dry pavement in 4wd, then stop and click it in) and just go easy...

I just drilled a hole in the bumper cover about 6" to the left of the hitch, pointing down. I like having it back there as I can just plug my 12V air pump into the lighter plug in the cargo area of the truck and adjust pressure. It's also nice to have it back there when hitching/unhitching trai...

I know this isn't a direct answer to your question, but many of us are running rear air bags. They are rated to adjust from 5psi-35psi and really help things out. When I'm just running around town I keep 10psi in them and it firms out the rear end nicely. When I have more of a load, I add air to adj...

I could do the work myself -- no worries there -- I just really don't have the time this week. It would be a few days until I could get to it and I have a couple of work related trips to make early this week that will more then offset the extra labor cost (plus I'd have to rent a car for a couple of...

Those numbers above were from the local shop. The dealer left me a voice mail earlier with their numbers. For remanufactured calipers they are $549, each. Add in labor, front rotors, turn rear rotors, new pads all around, and fluid flush and the grand total is......$1,889.00. Yeah...they are not goi...

I assume it happened quickly. The last time I was out on the interstate for some easy to judge highway driving with no snow was about 2 weeks ago. MPG was normal. Last week I did all city driving with mostly short trips (10 miles or less, speeds up to 60mph, but mostly about 30-40). I filled the tan...

2006 w/ stuck brakes - your thoughts?

Last week I filled the gas tank on my '06 and then began to notice that it seemed like it was really working harder then normal and my mileage was awful. I assumed bad gas, and have driven about 100 miles. This morning I topped the tank off, and hopped on the highway. I quickly began to notice a str...

Glad to see it did a good job. I have to second that comment about the kid near the strap though. Those of us that have grown up in the country doing this type of thing can tell you straps and chains are NOT something to take lightly/trust. There is a heck of a lot of force there and things DO slip ...

I was having the same issue (good, super hot heat at speed, very little heat at idle). I just topped off the coolant with out doing anything else special -- heat is back to 100% again.

My '06 still has the stock bat, been in there for 47K+ and still looks brand new. No leaks, no corrosion. Not broke, not going to fix it.

I am seriously considering the Pirelli Scorpion ATR as my OEM replacement. I love the look of a more agressive off road tire than this but do not off road and think this might even get slightly better mileage due to it"s tread design. Finally, the price is reasonable. Here is a link: I've had ...
