snow removal blade on 05 PF

Hey all, What's everyones thoughts on something like this: http://tinyurl.com/5bkpmb Would the tranny tolerate this type of load? We are looking at a place in the country with a fairly long driveway, this would be great, especially since we are in Manitoba where winter is over half the year! :) I ha...

We have since bought a camper trailer. The dealer mentioned the guideline for a camper trailer (Travel trailer) is 18 - 20 inches. So we have a WD hitch and a 10" shank, and the hitch is 2 holes from the bottom.

The hitch seems to be higher than typical on the PF. I am using a 4" drop ball mount I had lying around. It's still not level and needs to be even deeper. This is for an old Starcraft tent trailer. Would it be OK to use this: http://tinyurl.com/6huozf to allow for adjustment of my WD hitch? It...

I actually noticed this with mine as well lately. I just passed my factory warrenty so i hope its nothing serious. Anyway i would like to know what you find out or what others might advise. I have read on some nissan forums that the knock sensor can be an issue (IIRC it was on a Maxima though). The...

Re: Odometer rollback?

Is it possible for a crooked dealer to roll back on the digital OD on a 05 path??? :?: I don't think so... but check the door pillar to see if the speedo has ever been changed. Mine was, at 59000kms. So now it reads 41000kms, even though I am close to 100000. There is a label that details the chang...

Next time you take it in, have them check for codes. At least with other Nissans, problems with the knock sensor will set a code but not turn on the check engine light. I just went though this with my Maxima. I've only used 87 on the Pathfinder so far with no pinging. If it just started, maybe you ...

no more se v8? that sucks o well was told the v8 is being canned in the pathy for 09 at the dealer, as they were stealing sales from the Armada. That's not true, your dealer knows about as much as most dealers; which is nothing. The Pathfinder will have the V8 for 09. I'll be ordering one from the ...

05 path hitch height

OK so I measured the hitch height on a level surface this morning. Looks like 22.5" from ground to top of the inside of the hitch receiver. We would like to get a camper trailer (TT) as this is a good time of year (and with the US economy in the tank) to buy one. I bought a weight distributing ...

Path pingin?

Good day! Fairly new to the VQ40 engine. I do notice some pinging at certain load/rpm ranges. I know it 'recommends' high octane fuel as per the fuel door, but the manual says 87 is OK. Premium is $0.10/L more up here, so thats an additional $8 per fill ($1.26/l vs 1.36/l. US guys will think thats r...

Air Lift 1000 or Firestone?

Want to install rear suspension helpers on the 05 PF.

I have seen references to both Airlift (ebay) and Firestone. Seems there is a $1-200 cost difference (Firestone=more).

Any recommendations either way? Is one heavier than the other? How are the failure rates?

We tow a Jayco 19H. Dry weight is around 3500. With all the gear and 2 kids I am well below 6000. No problems towing up hill. The gas mileage drops to around 10 mpg. Thanks for the info madgerman. Wondering what tires people are using? The dealership put on brand new Cooper Discoverer ATRs on. They...

Good day all. New to the forum. Lots of valuable information, experience and insight on here. Just fantastic! Went trailer shoppin today. Looked at a few, ranging in dry weight from 3500 to 4500 lbs. Will be using a WD (weight distributing) hitch with stabilizers. Will be doing the airbag lift mod e...
