That little spring seems to be a problem mine has come off twice now. Not too bad to put back on. Use a little screw driver that fits in the hole on the end of the spring to leverage it back in place.

Come on guys, 9800lbs for the whole truck, the jack is only lifting the rear and most of the weight of that truck is the big iron under the hood. So the jack is lifting 5-6000 max. Anytime you are stressing the motor more than normal is will build a little more heat. As long as it stays well into the normal zone you are fine.
