Although I'm in San Diego, we travel to CO once in a while to visit college buddies. Would love to do some off-roading with you guys. Keep us posted.

I do have to take the width into consideration, as well as cutting the fenders. I want the extra travel, but the current width has been perfect in tight spots. However, I'm leaning towards the extra travel. I can always figure out the line in tight areas. From the Xterra and Frontier thread, when th...

Re: my build thread

Lights - Adding 6 roof lights and then 4 lights on the bumper. Started making the mount for the roof lights using the front factory cross bar. I will eventually have a full roof rack but till then my lights will mount using the factory cross bar, that should be done next week. Other stuff - Compres...

I'll be watching this thread. Our Pathfinders are extremely underrated as an expedition vehicle. It's the perfect size for navigating the tight areas, while roomy enough for a family and gear, the strong underpinnings of a true 4x4, and the power of the V6/V8, and the comfort to get you to the trail...

Yes, the console is dimmer than the dash, but it never bothered me. I normally turn down the dash brightness a few clicks anyway since I feel like flying a plane with dim guages :|

I have the Optima Yellow since I run a winch and an ARB fridge. I would go all night running the fridge and the truck start right away in the morning.

Also, why not just order the OME rear springs instead of cutting one to fit?

So why did you go with the ARB bumper instead of the Shrockworks? Also what winch did you install and have you used it yet? Ahh.. because it was FREE! My Pathie was the prototype of the new ARB bumper. See here: http://arbusa.com/uploads/PDF/newProductAdvice/09On_Frontier_Pathfinder_media.pdf Recog...

awww man my thread totally just got greeked up! But yes due to increased width I will be gaining increased suspension travel and will have a high ride height. I will most likely be going with custom coil overs also increasing ride height. But on the other hand I am very concerned about how much the...

Nope, they are all controlled by the one dimmer. I was looking for the same thing when I bought mine.

Yup, just swap the gears out. Nothing else. It appears that the ECU has programming for both the 2.9 and 3.4 gears so the everything still works, cruise control, ABLS, VDC all good.

rragpaoa my friend! Good to hear from you, been a long time since our big group trip around Death Valley. When the auto transfer case is locked in 4-hi, does that mean the AWD system is just working full-time, or is there a physical gear that engages to lock it for real? I hope and expect the latte...

Re: Hi, my name is Carl, I just got a used V8 and...

First thing I want to research is the "Auto" mode of the transfer case...from what I could google it looks like the truck is continuously RWD, and there is an electrically actuated clutch pack that can send a portion of the power to the front wheels as needed, which can also then be locke...
