I also repaired the rust spots in the tailgate the same way. I removed the handle and found another water leak in this process, this time in the left most handle's bolt. Here's some shots of nut holding it and the rust that formed on it and around the bolt and tailgate opening. This was a slow and a...

Yes, it definitely would and nowhere as ugly as the felt strip I used on the doors.

I got to sanding, priming, and painting the rust off my doors and tailgate this past week. I used my often useful Dremel to sand down all the rust and pitting out, then some high build primer and finally some Dupli-Color “Perfect Match†spray paint, Silver Mist K-12 in my case. It’s close enoug...

The nuts/bolts on my hatch handle rusted as well. But it wasn’t the hatch seal leaking it was the handle leaking. The bolts were rusted so bad that one broke and had to be cut to get the handle off. Put a new handle on with a bead of silicone and it’s been dry ever since. Apparently whatever ga...

Nice lights but a bit pricey for eBay lights. Too bad projector HID weren’t an option or a feature of higher trims. I do like the looks of these although without the angel eye.

The SE Off Road also came with 1†taller tires, P265/75R16 vs 70 on non OR. I wonder if there is any difference in the OR for the Speedo or not? The speedometer is the same, however, it is calibrated for the Off-road versions tire size (as all are), so it actually reads accurately. I’m stock 265...

I did have to shave a little off of the top of the support bracket for the upper plenum because it was pushing the plastic plenum up a hair with the bolts installed. It wasn't a big deal...just broke out the carbide burr and grinded a little bit of the metal bracket away. I did install new Fel-pro ...

The best things to do either once u changed something ( exhaust spacer whatever) is to do a uprev tune on a tune. these cost real money ( 700 bucks a few years ago) but u get to keep the software and tuning adapter and they ae proven to work... and to make the best out of any mods u might have adde...

SF Creation Spacers Lift kit review?

Anyone running the SF Creation spacers lift kit here?

https://sfcreation.com/t/pathfinder-r51-platform

Looks simple and very inexpensive. Might need camber bolts as detailed in smh’s sticky and maybe rear shocks.

What do you guys think?

check out Doctahjones' former ride for some inspiration. I have the same wheels and will be blacking them out just like he did. He mentions the following and had at least a 2" suspension lift: "Yup, 285/65/18 fits in the spare area on the factory le rim. Sometimes you have to help it get i...

I've had my Pathfinder off the road for a few months and have been driving my Frontier in the meantime. Just got two tires replaced the other day and yesterday I replaced the left-rear wheel bearing hub/brake caliper/pads and rotors. Will be doing the same to the other side today and will be replac...

Still happy with the AEM drop in filter? I’m on the fence between paper again or a step up to this dry filter.

I’ve done K&N before in previous cars but not a big fan of oiling the filters.

Rust on insides of Doors and under Tailgate Handle

While cleaning and conditioning door gaskets, I found a line of rust where the bottom of the door panel meets the inside of the door. It's just plastic on painted metal and it seems over the years of opening and closing, the sharp plastic panel has rubbed the paint off and moisture has found metal. ...
