Highway driving should not be a problem with overheating, since your external cooler is most efficient here, with all the air going through it. Unless, of course you are towing something up the hill, adding more load. This is the first time I'm hearing of any immediate issues as a result of the bypa...

Did my 2010 this week with 49k on the clock. Not sure if it would ever fail otherwise, but considering the warranty extension is for 2010 as well, i did not want to find out. I decided not too wait too long, since I'm not a big fan of remanufactured transmissions either - even if its covered by warr...

Checking AT fluid level - leave engine running or not?

Guys, what is the correct way to do this (it has been a while) - do I leave the engine running or not when checking AT fluid level?
Thanks!

I think it's our clunking is gone, based on that pic. These bushings are destroyed! It sucks that you can't really see their condition until you remove them. Once removed, you might as well put in the new set. But ipthis is an easy task, assuming you have already checked all other obvious things and...

Otratw switches are nice and used extensively by xterra offloading crowd. They are a bit bulky, however, at least for my taste. They don't look factory. What does look factory is Scion switch - http://www.oznium.com/scion-switch-led
I have one and it looks factrory compared to your stock units.

It does sound like fan shroud or fan clutch. Can you peek in there and see what is going on? If it is a shroud hitting the fan blades, you will see damage, marks, etc.

No filter to replace. I'd do dump and fill.

Just polish it. Plenty of polish kit available in auto stores. Look up the process on youtube and do the same thing. Replacing the lights will cost hundreds, whilst polishing can be done for under $20 and a little time.

After a few months of looking for the cause of this noise I was finally able to find the problem and get it sorted. As I have mentioned above - I would hear clunk when taking a turn when driving over a bump or uneven road surface - anything that would contribute to more flex on the frame. Dealership...

Ok, thanks! Now it makes sense. How did you drill through that metal square tube under the bumper cover to be able to put the light there? Im curious how did you work the angle of the drill considering the lack of space to hold te drill perpendicular to the surface, unless you were able to drill fro...

Looks good. How did you mount them? That bumper cover is very flimsy in that area aside from the small metal brace holding the bumper cover clip. Even that brace is kinda week as light mount location. Can you take a close up pic of the mounting location, if you get a chance? I've been working on the...
