Thanks for the help, all. Turns out I was over thinking things. It was very easy to slowly pull it up the hill in 2wd 1st gear. It was nice to know that I had a plan B though.

Towing up steep driveway

I'm towing a heavy U haul trailer to a mountain house tomorrow. The driveway is quite steep and about 50 yards. There is no room for error so any slipping and backward momentum could be disastrous. Would it be safe for me to put it in 4hi in 1st or 2nd gear? Maybe 4lo? Or am I over thinking it and 2...

So steering in 4wd is limited of course. When I take a U-turn on sand its fine but must be taken wider than normal. Say I have a front lokka, when I take the U-turn in sand and the lokka engages, how will my differential hold up to that?

Wish they had one for the rear then I would be in. A locked rear is more helpful than a locked front, Right?

Removed mine and I like the extra room. I went on a snowboard trip with me and 4 others so I put one of the seats in for just a weekend. Not too hard at all. Also took some measurements to sketch up a storage basket, haven't made any moves towards that idea yet. http://i.imgur.com/K2OkUKBl.jpg http:...

I was hesitant to mount my 32" bar in the lower grill but it turned out fantastic. I have no experience with light bars so I bought a lower end ($130) light bar to test and it exceeded my expectations. The extra light on the beach is very nice. I have tried to take a picture of the brightness b...

A years worth of Pathfinder (sorry, lots of pictures)

Bought my 2005 Pathfinder SE in February 2014 and had some fun with it this year. Just started modding this month with an Air lift 1000, 32" curved LED light bar, and new tires. Much more to come. Sorry for all the pictures, I have about a hundred good ones and had trouble narrowing that down. ...

I ended up bringing it too my mechanic just to be on the safe side. He was very certain that no damage was done beside some extra tire wear. Thanks for the help, guys. Just for the record, I reached 90mph on a highway in 4hi... that shit is scary. Won't make that mistake again.

300 miles in 4hi

Just got home from a ski trip and realized I was in 4hi the entire time. Snow and ice at the top of the mountain for about 5 miles and then dry curvy roads for 50 miles then straight highways the rest of the way to my driveway. Forgot to switch back to 2wd. Everything seems to be fine. How bad did I...

Not sure what Pathfinder you have but most likely the blanks are for heated seats and hill decent control.
