What did you use to paint the wheels? Prep?

Duplicolor matte wheel paint. I used the maroon scuff pads and then cleaned with a cleaner then two coats of primer and 3 coats of paint. i used index cards around the tire so no need to tape off.

Its a oem new bumper it ripped all the mounting points off and warped it bad. The factory skid also got bent up so i replaced them with these from 4x4parts.com They come bare and you have to paint them but well worth the investement!! my radiator almost got damaged due to the cheap factory skid plate.

Which skid plates did you go with? I'm on their site and the only one I see for the 05-10 Pathfinders is the rear diff. I think you probably used the frontier skids.

I have to do the black painted wheel conversion. I love the way it looks. Anyone done it on a desert sand PF like mine?

Also, how does the paint hold up after washing and using products like brake dust cleaner?

soo.. regarding to the black rims, paint stays on very well washed and all that stuff... the only problem i have come upon is getting a flat and having it fixed. either the people did not know how to remove a tire or the machine ended up chipping it along the sides. now of course they dont care so i now have to touch it up... this will be done once my new tires are on.

i also want to find out maybe there is a "thicker"paint or something that i can do.

NYPathfinder,
The ride looks real nice. I like the black and red look.
