Advise on purchasing older Pathfinder

I need a daily driver and want AWD or 4 WD as I live in Wisconsin. I also have 3 kids who need to fit in the back seat. I have found 3 pathfinders that I am interested in. Why would one be better than the other? Share your opinions and experiences. All is appreciated. Here are the PFs:

1998 SE, manual, one owner, 101k miles, $3800
2001 SE, manual, one owner, 116k miles, $4500 (includes new clutch replacement)
2004 Platinum, auto, two owners, 98k miles, $7995

I want to hear it all. A case of homebrew to any mechanics living in Madison or Milwaukee that want to come test drive with me on Saturday.
