Best size tire to go with a Rancho quickift?

Postby s2kpathy » Sun Apr 13, 2014 8:19 pm

I recently had a Rancho quicklift installed and I wanted to know if I would have any problems if I went to a bigger size mud terrain tire like a 285/70/17, 295/70/17 or a 33x12.5.

I put on some LT285/65 R18's and also had to do the heat mod, to the wheel wells. I know the speedometer is off but haven't really tried to figure by how much.

this is helpful for an idea of how much of a difference in tire size will be
http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.php

i would think something around 33" would be fine with the melt mod, but keep in mind tire weight too. the heavier the tire the more that mileage/ power will be hurt.
